Keshav Pandit is a person who uses law as a weapon to help the poor and the downtrodden to get justice. Sarwar Ahuja, seems to have taken the role of Keshav Pandit a little too seriously. Recently he visited a committee called 'Satark Nagrik Sangathan' in Dharavi, Mumbai. The makers of Keshav Pandit came to know that apparently this committee is also dedicated in helping the poor and the needy. They use the RTI ( Right to Information) as a weapon to fight against the privileged class who take undue advantage of poor people's ignorance.
The members of the committee sit with the slum dwellers and facilitate help to them in every possible way. Be it financial, medical or societal needs. They also help them in getting aid from the law and fight for their own rights.
The committee as well as the Dharavi dwellers were more than happy to have Sarwar around and share their problems and woes with him. They were delighted to know that Zee TV has come up with a show which is so akin to their lives. Sarwar took keen interest in the lives of the people living there and how the committee deals with their trouble's and tribulations. A lady came up to him with extremely poor quality ration and told him this is what is given to them to eat..the committee informed him that their next agenda would be to take this case up with the administration.
Sarwar was deeply inspired by this committee and the kind of help they are rendering to the poor and the underprivileged through the help of the RTI. The makers of Keshav Pandit are thinking to incorporate some of these cases in the show as well. "I can just salute these people and the kind of work they are doing... I can only enact heroism on screen but these people are the real life idols.. They are constantly striving towards making a difference to the lives of the poor and the downtrodden... my grand Salute to the team of Satark Nagrik Sangathan for their outstanding contribution to the society.." said Sarwar post his meeting.
For the uninitiated, the character Keshav Pandit is not a lawyer nor has he gone to a law school. He has been in & out of jail, convicted for crimes that he hasn't committed. During his stay in jail he learnt law and learnt it well and now he is on a mission to extend help to the poor and ignorant masses who fall prey to the privileged class.
