Viaan looked like was having a panic attack. like when your reality is flipped on it axis and you don't know how to express it.

amra -- I checked out ep 1 of al thaman and I liked it. :) the actor playing zein is so much more twisted and I like they explained his character with a monologue that had a lot of punch. the ending of that monologue was interesting -- "don't trust your feelings because there is no such thing as love! it is just a way to escape the bitterness of life." -- so that itself tells you a lot about who he is and why he would offer one night stand. we have a clear outline of his motivations.
also liked that we see that zein notices sarah in a way in small details but there is a formality to their actions. so it is not like he is checking her out but he does notice stuff like she coming late and obviously he hates that.
he notices her red eyes but she just says "allergies" and he leaves it at that. I was like "yes!" when sarah said she is tired and ready to drop from working all day and spending nights in the hospital. I was so irritated that katha never showed any signs of sleeplessness and she seemed super woman. here, sarah is struggling to keep up and also keep her emotions at check.
zein won't be everyone's cup of tea but I like that he is dark bitter here and makes no apologies about it. with ITV, they might have changed it in order to make viaan more acceptable to as many audience. viaan is a different type of man in that he is super confused. ð we have no idea why he would go ahead with one night stand to just bite himself as well as her when neither of them wanted it. like some of us were wondering, what on earth happened that night? ðĪĢ
that said, it also makes it entertaining to watch such a confused ML who is a jumble of thoughts internally. normally in ITV, ML's brains get scrambled because ma is feeding him stuff about the FL. here, he is doing scrambled egg by himself because of past baggage. so that feels different and new. so yea, it is nice we have different inspirations from the same source material and it all feels fresh. ððž
Baaki sab theek h but why did katha wear night gown to the party ðĪ

He went ahead with it because ONS must be common for them..
At this phase I m confused how will he realize his love..
He can't be jealous of ahsan ..he is regretting alot
Bold-- I feel that the makers didn't really do a very good job in establishing the attraction. That's my opinion. But this secret attraction is the premise behind Viaan's actions in the OG show. There were some indications, such as when Viaan asked Katha to not stand in front of the slideshow as she was "distracting" him. But these indications were not enough. I think that the makers could have spent more time showing the audeince that Viaan was attracted to her, as that's an important element of the story.

Wow you saw it so quickly!! Alas, now we cannot see the further episodes without paying. Making the first episode available is the production house's trick. ðð

The guilt that Viaan has to taking undue advantage of a mother Katha ð
It's actually brilliant how he got hi by one truth after another as his mom talked about Katha and how he spilled those very points out in front of her one by one saying he didn't know any of that. He is filled with self-loathing at this point because not only did he misjudge her character, he also tried to 'test' her when life was already testing her in so many ways. His mom raised him as a single mother + widow so he knows very well how tough it is for mothers in that situation. His own mother must have struggled to raise him, even if he had no health issues, so he could just imagine Katha's state. He found her words and actions confusing before but he was able to piece together all his observations and realize that the truth had been staring him right in the face, especially the truth of her character, the desperation she had felt, and how selfish he had been in trying to get answers from her while she remained stoic as she overcame so many challenges with Aarav.
Beautifully executed! I was hoping it would be like in the OG where the reveal happens in front of Katha but I'll see how this turns out. In this case, his mother knew Adi so was able to tell Viaan that Katha was his widow. In the OG she answers him with one word 'dead' when he asks her about her son's father.
The irony is that despite the weird way in which Katha and Viaan have connected, he is the one who gave her that cash urgently and directly or indirectly is the reason her son survived. The way it all happened is going to make him drown in guilt but also finally find out that she is actually the bridge he has been looking for. He will want to make amends but also be fascinated by her, and that's how he'll fall in love with her very fast. If the ONS hadn't happened, I think he would already have been.
I am really looking forward to the next episode.
Adnan has been fabulous in these scenes and in the precap.
