hahaha... I actually prefer to write short comments but somehow it becomes too long at times. chalo, I need outlet for expressing and so I take it that way. 😂
Ai hay have been traveling on work and missing all discussions, managed to see promo of our onion crying…almost there …..Mann ko thandak valla scene that was …. Of course that’s only the beginning
In respect of above discussion, I will only add that emotions are not rational. The problem or the beauty of this show is that we have to speculate on Katha's past with the Garewals and of the ONS. Sticking to the Gs, I have said it in another post before. People are shaped by their upbringing, experiences, circumstances, societal pressure, expectations and the list goes on. PapaG is not right according to us but from his lens, he felt betrayed by his son who chose a girl over him. If I make my assumption based on the love between MamaG and PapaG, I would say that the G household was one filled with love. Adi left that for Katha. The latter is not to be blamed but who else will PapaG blame? Not his son...even more so after his death. So for all those years, Katha was the symbol of PapaG's misery and pain. I will say it again. Emotions are not rational. People who let themselves get carried away by their emotions act in ways which defy logic. I don't know why PapaG never met Aarav. If I recall correctly, Adi had the accident on his way to inform his father of Aarav and to try to reconcile both families. Could that be another reason why PapaG never wanted to see Aarav?
When PapaG saw Aarav and probably saw Adi in him, all his grudges and previous reasoning simply had no ground left to stand on. Because reality is never as what the mind leads us to believe. I have to admit that I cried while seeing that scene. I firmly believe in second chances. Does it undo all the wrongs? No. Does it sweep away all the wrong actions? No. But it's a chance to start over. Aarav is a child and will hold no grudge against his dada. But it's a different matter for Katha. I don't expect her relationship with PapaG to suddenly change. I expect to see these 2 dance around each other. They will try for the sakes of Aarav and PapaG but I don't expect a smooth reconciliation. There's also the possibility that PapaG will want his grandson with him. We also have Reet who will be an obstacle for Katha. These conflicts will evolve as the show progresses. PapaG can still be the villain after all this🤣time will tell. For now, I am very happy with PapaG's track, and the actor playing the role is simply fab!
super summary shalzie 👏 -- you conveyed everything I was trying to say but much succint. 😂 ❤️
also enjoying the actor playing papaG. I loved how natural that scene came across rather than weird or silly or cringey. I was moved as well. the way papaG stood still and then as he took in resemblance from head to foot. the way his hand shook while he hugged aarav, his utter shock that aarav would hug him so readily, the wave of emotions flash across his face when aarav said so innocently that he wasn't so sure that his dadaji would want to know him... really well acted!
Thank you M😊
The Gs are giving us such great scenes and performances. I was really touched by PapaG's reaction. Monkey was adorable as usual. I have to admit that Reet is the 1st character whom I don't like in this show. I don't like villains. There's a very subtle line on how to project a villain or someone who is only acting as per his/her circumstances. It feels like Reet is there for the negative element. I would like to be proven wrong and see some kindness in her. I don't even like the background score when she is on screen🤣nothing personal against the actor. She is doing a good job in a very unlikeable role.
I don't like the grewal's enough to write long essays about them😆
Thank you M😊

I find her and yuvraj hilarious. I am always laughing at the end of their scenes. like at the party, yuvraj kept trying to give her juice but she brushed him aside and walked in a huff. then he just drinks the juice himself. stuff like that cracks me up.
am not sure if I find reet iritating, comic or having the possibility of being interesting. haven't decided yet. generally, I like villains. 😂 they are far more interesting to watch and have hilarious lines compared to mahaan FLs who irritate me so much.
who knows -- don't be surprised if I write essays on reet later.
