To answer your question OP, YES Anurag Basu IS the male lead. Yes, the CVs had some shoddy scripts for him post Naveen track because that was the only way they thought they could make Komo or Bajaj work - but DESPITE that - these two failed to make their mark .. now the CVs in their effort to butcher Anurag burned many bridges and couldn't get back the glory of the show .. and the 2000s KZK didn't fly in 2020 ..so alas they had to end the show ..and finally conceded that Anurag and Prerna is what ticks!! ..Ppl would rather watch a butchered Anu with Pre ..rather than a guy who blackmailed a pregnant woman into marrying him with Pre - Simple! so yes he is very much the ML!

Maybe you don't know but to prove Bajaj character as the most mahaan and saint character of KZK2, Anurag's character is required. Even in KZK2 the KZK2 CVS and EK needed to destroy Anurag's character brutally to make Bajaj character looked as the most saint, mahan , whitewash and knight in shining armour of Prena

But one thing can never changed mocking and condemning Anurag's character can never make Bajaj as the saint and mahaan character of KZK2. Like the way we cannot justify all the horrible deeds done by Anurag in the same way we can never justify Bajaj wrong and horrible deeds that he did in KZK2👎🏼

Just because Parth is not playing the favourite, mahaan, saint and iconic character Mr Bajaj it is not right to mock, saying that Parth was sleepwalking thoroughout the show, Parth was a disappointment as Anurag Basu, Parth playing a bad bad role, Parth playing a boring maha low IQ character, Anurag Basu is a troll worthy character and what not🥱I think if Parth would have played Bajaj character, then the same Parth would have been complimented saying Parth is playing the most interesting character, Parth is really awesome and great as Mr Bajaj, Parth acting as Mr Bajaj is really very great, no one could have played Mr Bajaj more better than Parth and what not. Really the situation would have got reversed if Parth would have played Anurag Basu role😎

But one thing I want to say I am not a blind fan of Parth that since I liked Parth I will blindly liked and follow every shows done by him. Maybe after KZK2 I may not liked the future show or webseries done by him if don't liked the role played by Parth or Parth's chemistry with the FL or the story of the show or webseries. I genuinely liked Parth's character as Anurag Basu. I didn't gave chance to this story and begin to watch KZK2 because I am a fan of Parth but because I liked Anurag Basu character and Anupre👍🏼

I happened to go through the farewell thread made for the iconic. Even that thread doesn't have a single page where indirect digs are not taken at Anurag and the actor playing it😆 Farewell thread too needs Anurag to move past page 1. I guess there is nothing worth talking about the iconic

Its a known fact that after leap ekta wanted Bajaj to comeback with a big bang to salvage the sagging show but due to unforseen circumstances things didnot go the way she wanted and the crown landed back on Filthy house fly🤣

The Easiest and quickest method to get rid of this dead sack was this forced reunion. Cvs be like jaan jhuti finally ...

But calling an actor a filthy housefly off screen as well, i think falls under name-calling an actor..

Also, please enlighten how could a filthy housefly ruin the character of a supposed iconic character off-screen when the actor playing the iconic character (post replacement) is both Channel and Ekta's favorite?

BTW Viraj was supposed to be a cameo -- he came, he served his purposed and bowed out as a cameo was supposed to.

Talking about the character - he was a puppet in hands of Komo and tried to kill a very pregnant Pre- that is what was aired on the screen of lesser mortal like me.

World knows that what the ML did demand the PH for his centric in the show which made the show as flop.
