but whats the issue if he likes her? why is that so hard for people to digest? I personally feel that he likes her

He likes some of her qualities. He takes special care of her as she is his responsibility.

I do think he likes her aka is attracted to her and is that's why possessive of her, never said he loves her, I don't think one can show this amount of jealousy just for one's responsibility, look at the way he stares at her, with so much love and intensity, I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one!
