Kasautii Zindagii Kay begins as the love story of Prerna and Anurag, but turns into Devdas somewhere along the way. Cezanne Khan aka Anurag Basu is recognisable as the handsome, soft-spoken son of a rich father, while Shweta Tiwari aka Prerna is Paro, who gets married into a rich family and a husband she never loved. Yes, her much older husband has three children from his previous marriage, quite like in Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's novel.

Had ever Prerna imagined how Rishabh felt when he used to go abt hugging Anurag at teh samadhi...or how he must have felt when he saw Prerna's lipstick marks on Anurag's shirt...or when she lied to him & used to meet anurag secretly...and thousand's of such incidents...why should he bother abt Prerna's feelings...& if he really had no feelings for anyone, he would not have given his car to take Mukti.
BTW, no one answered my Q...why was Anurag shown performing Mukti's last rites??
