I haven't looked at an entire episode of KS in quite a long while. I can't accept the length of the leap, Meera living happily, Jai Walia living happily with Meera and fathering a child with her along with many other inconsistencies.
But today I looked at the first segment where Pronita remembers that she is Bani. Bani's dialogues were poignant. Her repeating 16 years .... or maybe I misunderstood .. my Hindi is still limited....but with Bani repeating 16 years... the character expressed the outrage of many on the forum who feel 16 years of being deprived of your children, family and I guess your 'pati' is horrific. It seems the creatives understand that 16 years is a lifetime to be deprived and denied your family, children and life.
Gurdeep's facial expressions and the tone of voice were heartwrenching ... conveying the torment, pain and realization of how Bani's life has been destroyed by Meera.
I am not a GK fan and it has nothing to do with PD. I just haven't seen any kind of connection with her as Bani/Pronita with Jai Walia. But today her acting portraying Bani's awakening to how Meera destroyed her life was amazing. Her anger and determination to reveal the truth to everyone was so real. I'm glad they were scenes minus the cheese camera angles that seem to be overused in Indian serials. The simplicity and Gurdeep's emoting were effective enough.
