There were some rumors about one or two creatives and Niveditha Basu having a fall out with RK. I don't know how much this is true. But this could be the reason why they showed a step-motherly treatment to this show.

You are right...KS had a lot of potential.It had the best ensemble in terms of the cast. I loved each and every one when the show started...except for the some of the cast that came in after the leap, for the most part, the cast was good.

Ekta starts out well, but I think the creatives need to concentrate on making a powerful story line on a continuing basis and concentrate on the supporting cast as well as the leads. There is no show that will last based completely on the leads.

There are a dozen things that could have happened - distraction in Jigs and Adi's marriage with a new entry...Ranveer and Rano's brief marriage could have had a different twist with Rashi turning bad instead of Ranveer becoming the vicious and ugly guy he became. Sahil coming back and being blackmailed by some one else. Pia coming out and saying that the whole ONS was done because she somehow thought that Pushkar and Bani were having an affair (because of his name on Bani's pregnancy report)

Meera could have been a nice lady who supported JW when BW was gone, raising his twins singlehandedly with Maasi's help...lot of things.

suganthirani, i agree that mayi cannot look into episodes of one serial, but at least when her name comes as the one who was the main person for starting story she shld at least keep an eye on storyline and can give a outline to her staff, but looks like she is not capable of handling things of her own and depends too much on her juniors

Well said sheena, siddarth and ashwini are both fab actors..siddarth showed his potential in TB he was really good in that.

Yeh she was nominated she is a really good actor i thought she was fab in Golmaal returns...

I agree...she's a very good actress...the way she does her negative role and the way she acts...I mean how she acts with her eyes and all...it all seems to natural!

@Suganthi: What you say is completely plausible about KS being in competition with the other shows. Yes, I did hear from some of my friends that JW was going to be a rapist...I wasn't surprised, because it was during Niveditha's reign, Pia became the totally vicious character who had a ONS with her Jiju.

As for the new shows, I started watching KMH, Kitana Mohabbat Hai - it has a great looking cast and the some of the actors are really acting well. But it is an amalgam of popular movies and serials. In other words, it is not original. I heard that Bandini is another show which is a copy of Kasamh Se and Balika Vadhu. BV is based in Rajasthan while Bandini is based in Gujarat. KS has an older lead with a young girl, Banidini has a guy who gets married to a girl who is three times younger than him. So literally child marriage in rural settings.

Yes, I too don't think that these shows will be successful after the initial honeymoon is over.

But, I really like the leads in Kitani Mohabbat hai...They are young and good looking - minus the surma on the main lead! 😆

She was definitely a spoilt girl from the beginning, but she was real in her love toward her sisters. When the whole extra-marital affair started, she became thoroughly vicious and mean. She wanted Bani to die and take away everything Bani had, she did not even have any mercy toward Bani as she was pregnant with her two kids. That was totally unlike the original Pia we all liked.

In life, you do come across people who are really like her. They are slightly spoilt and have a huge ego, but they are not merciless and cruel toward their own sisters.

sheena dear leads are good in KMH but don't u think this serial is going to be just a copy of KS+kasturi and for sure lot many movies. i have started watching mohe raang de and leads were good but i think it is going off air because of less TRPs

Thank you clare for clarfing what a meant to say Pia didnt care if bani loved jai or not she used that excuse that her sister was traped in a lovless marriage because she wanted jai back in her own life
