Hello Sweethearts! Update is smaller than my usual but you will enjoy definitely! The reason I cut short the update is because it was going too much long and I needed to maintain the suspense to keep you Intrigued yeah! Chapter 39
Manik's POV...
I didn't realize why my sleep got disturb but when I opened my eyes there was still very much dark in the room. I lazily looked at the other side of the bed only to found it empty.
Bloody hell.
I got up with a jerk and frantically looked around.
There she was standing near the window, wrapped only in a thin satin white sheet, bare foot, and hair falling over her shoulder.
It was raining cats and dogs.
Her face was devoid of any expression as she stared out of the window which was wide open. Her hair flutter carelessly around her faces side due to the cold wind but she didn't seem to mind at all.
Was she okay?
"Had a bad dream baby?" I spoke softly lying on my stomach on the bed and rested my cheek on the pillow at her direction. She turned at me slowly and smiled at me.
It wasn't a genuine smile.
"Did I wake you up hubby?" She whispered softly, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
Nandini, changing the topic? That's unusual...
"Oh yes you definitely did my dear!" I said with a smile and she returned it before turning back to look out of the window.
"Is everything okay?" I asked reluctantly still lying on the bed and she wiped the corner of her eyes.
She was crying!!!!
"Baby, come back to bed!" I said loudly and she turned back to me once again. Her lower lip was trembling and I sighed.
Something was definitely wrong.
"Come here!" I coaxed her, sitting up and extending my hand towards her.
She stared at my hand for a moment and then looked down, hiccupping once again.
What was in her mind?
"Nandini come to me!" I was trying to act calm and finally she started walking back towards the bed with slow steps. Soon she reached me and placed her tiny shivering hand in mine spread one.
She was so cold!
Taking a deep sigh I coaxed her to climb the bed and soon I cradled her in my lap in the warm blanket while she hides her face in my neck, her body was shaking uncontrollably. I rested my back with the pillow and stroked her hair gently as she sobbed her heart out.
"Is it paining? Was I harsh, Love?" I asked softly running my fingers through her hair and she shook her head in my neck.
Ok! That was not the reason! Then why on earth she was crying so much?
"Do you want me to let you cry for few minutes?" I spoke kissing her hair and her arms grip on my neck tightened.
"Manik!" She sobbed my name and my anxiety reached the limits.
"Ji Manik ki jaan! Kuch btaoa na!" I pleaded pulling her more closer.
"I had a dream!" She whimpered in my neck and again sobbed.
"Ohh! Was it very bad?" I asked sadly but surprisingly she giggled between her sniffs.
Hain??
"It was beautiful!" She spoke with a dreamy sigh and I frowned.
"If it was beautiful then why my baby is crying so much!?" I asked lowly and she pulled out of my neck to look in my eyes.
"Because I am happy!" She whispered softly cupping my cheek and I smiled shaking my head.
"So? What was the dream? Main tha us main?" I asked wiping her wet cheeks and she nodded slowly as if remembering the dream.
"Ap thy! Main the! Aur...!" She paused for a moment and I raised my eyebrows at her to speak further. "Aur Dad!" She almost exploded the bomb and my heart dipped.
"Mr.Khurana?" I asked for surety and she nodded with a smile.
"You and I were standing in the garden!" She started telling me her dream and I looked at her with amazed eyes. "We were standing in the garden holding each other's hand when Dad came! And he was holding a newly born in his arms!" Tears were once again shimmering in her eyes and I gasped.
Newly born?
"All wrapped in a pink blanket! We were unable to see the baby's face until he reached closer!" She paused to sniff for a moment and I listened to her all dazed. "Then he gave the baby to you Manik!" She was now staring at me with teary eyes and few escaped to roll over her already puffy cheeks. "A baby girl!" She whispered and I looked away from her eyes.
Such a beautiful dream.
"We will have a babygirl!" She whispered softly cupping my cheek once again. She forced me to look in her eyes back. "You were so happy!" She enlightened me. "You were smiling with our baby! And you were complaining that she was so tiny!" She giggled through her tears which forced me to smile too, we both looked down for a moment before looking back at each other smiling so wide that our cheeks started hurting.
"I want a baby!" The words escaped my lips very lowly but she heard them as she hiccupped a sob.
"I want one too!" She whispered back and rested her forehead over mine.
"I wish the time comes soon!" I mumbled closing my eyes and she nodded.
"I wish the same!" She whispered and I hugged her.
Tightly and almost crushing her in between.
"You make me so happy Nandini! You make me the happiest man alive!" I whimpered in her neck and she ruffled my hair with her soft fingers.
"You make me happy too Manik! A lot! Pata nahi itny lucky kesy ho gai main! Ap k bina aik pal bhi nahi rehna mjy! Us hawa main saans bhi nahi laini jis me ap kay hony ka ehsaas na ho! You have to promise me that you will stay by my side! No matter what!" She was crying and her confession took my breath away.
She was so innocent! So lovely!
Pure like a white lily flower!
Sacred as the water of infinity!
Beautiful just like a sun rise!
And pretty much as the moon shine!
"I promise baby! I can't live without you either! I promise to be with you Hamesha!" I whispered back and placed a soft kiss on her neckside. Then carefully I laid her back on the bed and rested her head on the pillow. She smiled at me and I kissed away her tears. " I love you!" I spoke lovingly and kissed her forehead.
"I love you too!" She spoke pulling me back to kiss my forehead too. We stared in each other's eyes for few moments before her lips turned into a pout which made me chuckle.
"What happened?" I asked lovingly touching her nose and she made a face before rubbing her hand over her head.
"My head hurts!" She complaint and I smothered a laugh throwing my head back on the pillow beside her.
"Manik!!" She whined cutely and here we are! Back as before...
"Haan Jiii!" I mimicked her style and she frowned slapping my chest in frustration.
"You are so bad! I am saying that my head is hurting aur ap has rahy ho!" She said angrily and I plopped on my elbow finally recovering from my laughing session.
"Ohh baby! Why are you so cute?" I asked pulling her nose but she slapped my hand away.
"Kya hai!" She was getting really cranky and I laughed more.
"Oh dear God! Itna kiun piya tha? Haan? Ab headache tou ho ga na!" I mocked at her and she made such a baby face.
"Suchi bohat dukh raha hai!" She whimpered in pain and I sighed, giving up my teasing session.
"Baby! Aftermath of drinking!" I told her in a serious tone and she snuggled in my chest.
"Any solution?" She asked softly scratching her fingernail on my skin and I brushed her hair away from her face before kissing her lips tenderly. She got lost in the kiss and we made out for few minutes before I pulled back to which she whined stopping me from pulling back.
"Ohh baby! As much as I love to do loads of things with you I still know that I troubled you a little extra last night and for the compensation I need to behave!" I told her lovingly pecking her nose and she blushed like a rose remembering last night.
"Last night was beautiful!" She whispered shyly looking at me from the thick curtains of her lashes.
"It was baby! It was!" I acknowledged her words with a soft peck and then I sat up straight. I looked for my jeans which I was using last night but before I could leave the bed my dearest girl held my hand in panic.
"Ap kahan ja rahy ho??" She asked scared of being alone and I turned to her.
"Just walking down the kitchen to get you an aspirin! Headache k liye!" I told her softly and adjusted the blanket over her tiny body to save her from cold. She looked reluctant before releasing my hand.
"Jaldi ana!" She whispered staring at me with so much of longing in her eyes and I smiled before bending down to kiss her forehead once more.
"Gimme few minutes! You try to sleep okay!" I told her and she nodded immediately closing her eyes. I stared at her serene face for few moments then I got up throwing a shirt over my head. I walked down the stairs.
Sun was rising slowly and it was morning already. But no one was awake and there was a pin drop silence in the mansion all around. I reached the kitchen only to get surprised by seeing Mohan and Simmi working on something.
"Good morning!" I spoke loudly and they both turned at me with smiles. They had a tab in the hand with a calculator opened in it. I guess they were estimating something.
"You are up early Sir!" Mohan said with a smile and I nodded.
"Nandini is having a headache! Simmi I need aspirin and some juice for her!" I told Simmi immediately and she nodded before rushing to follow the orders.
"So Mohan! What's up?" I asked softly asking him for the work details and he started narrating the information which I missed while I was away. Soon he was done and Simmi placed a tray on the shelf containing an aspirin, a glass of juice along with some fruits.
"I don't think she will be much happy with these fruits!" I said chuckling softly and the couple giggled with me.
"Hell of a cranky girl!" Simmi commented with a small smile and I shook my head.
"I wish there could be a degree which can explain the height of crankiness she shows sometimes!" I said in a funny tone picking up the tray and walking back to the room upstairs.
I entered the room only to see Nandini fast asleep. I reached the bed and placed the tray on the side table.
"Nandini?" I called her softly and sat beside her. I hate to disturb her sleep but the aspirin was compulsory. "Hey baby?" I whispered caressing her hair and she looked so adorable, just like a newly born to me. "Nandini get up for a second and have this tablet please!" I pleaded softly in her ear and bent over her to kiss her temple.
"Sony dain na!" She mumbled in sleep and I sighed when she turned her side to snuggle in me.
"Main sony say mana nahi kar raha! Sirf ya medicine lay lo! It will lessen your headache meri jaan!" I reasoned but she was too much stubborn.
Aiyapaa! Main kya karoon is larki ka?
Wait what? Did I just said Aiyapaa? Fish dude!
Pinching the bridge of my nose in sigh I stared at my little wife who was looking so peaceful.
Ahhh what a beautiful sight to witness! But still the medicine was important.
Thinking for a moment I carefully slid my one arm under her back and slid the other hand under her head with that I pulled her up to which she groaned in protest.
"Shh baby just a moment!" I whispered softly and adjusted her in my arms. She tried to look at me under her heavy eyelids but failed. I adjusted her head on my chest and picked up the tablet from the table. "Open your mouth!" I ordered and she obliged quietly, too weak and tired to protest even a little. I placed the tablet in her mouth and quickly made her sip the juice helping her to gulp the medicine down her throat.
I placed the glass back and patted her head slowly still sitting in the same position while she rested her head on my shoulder once again drifting to sleep.
"I love you!" I heard her sleepy mumble and I smiled kissing her hair.
"Love you more, baby! Now sleep!" I whispered back and ran my fingers through her hair for few moments. Then once again cradling her head in my hand I laid her back on the pillow. Adjusting the blanket over her body I sat beside her for few minutes making sure that no other nightmares haunt her. Then I looked at my watch it was striking 5:30 am and surprisingly I wasn't sleepy at all so I decided to go for a run.
It's been days since I worked out so I immediately brushed my teeth and changed in my track suite. Grabbing my phone, earplugs, a key to the mansion and adjusting the curtains of the room I kissed Nandini a goodbye then left the room.
Ohkay! The morning run always fills me with a different sort of superman kinda energy. After running on the track more than an hour I finally felt satisfied and jogged back towards the mansion.
I paused on the gate to even my breaths and was about to unlock it when unintentionally my eyes darted towards my left.
My eyebrows knotted together as I tried to concentrate on the figure who was approaching me and as soon as the realization dawned me my breath almost stuck in my throat.

Issshhh! Hence proved! Life never goes the way we plan you know why Because Allah/God/Bhagwaan has better plans for us! So just go with the flow! And trust your Maker!
