Chapter 27Manik's POV:
I can't help but think about Nandini. Why is she always on my mind! What did she mean by she lost her love.. Who could it be? Kaun ho sakta hai.. And whoever it is why did he leave her? Why anyone in the right state of mind, ever, leave a girl like Nandini. She's... she's perfect. Her captivating eyes, her beautiful smile, her melodic laugh, it's all perfect. Why would he leave her? Does she still love him? Of course she still loves him, she clearly said he's still in her heart. But why is it effecting me, why am I disappointed to know she loves someone.. Urgh why is my life so crazy!
Thinking about Nandini Manik fell asleep, on the other hand Mukti was sitting by the pool with her feet dipped in the pool. Aryamman saw her and came and sat next to her. Mukti saw him and just smiled, 'you okay?' he asked. 'Yeah.. I'm fine, why won't I be?' Mukti replied, 'you know she didn't mean to hurt you right?' Aryamman tried to defend Nandini. 'Of course I know that she didn't mean to but still hurt toh kiya na... But I'm not mad at her because I know whatever she said was true' Mukti said. 'You're right what she said was true.. It's true that you're a very beautiful person, and have a very pure soul.. She was right' Aryamman said. Mukti smiled brightly at the compliment, she did crave love just like everyone else. 'You still love him don't you?' Aryamman asked 'I can never stop loving him.. Usne mujhe chor diya toh mein bhi usay chor doon kya? I will always love him' Mukti said tearing up whilst looking up at the stars. The brightest star she believed was Abhi. Aryamman, unable to think of what to say, side hugged her to console her and Mukti rested her head on his shoulder.

After a long night a new day finally came with better hopes for the future. Manik was up bright and early still thinking about last night. He was in the kitchen making black coffee for himself and for Nandini. He had gathered FAB5 and Navya in the kitchen for a meeting. A meeting which included all the do's and don'ts for FAB5 for when they see Nandini. 'Do not make her feel bad for anything she said yesterday, we all know she wasn't in the right state of mind. She didn't mean to hurt anyone and we know that.. Right?' he asked to which all shook their heads, like they had been for the past one hour. 'Make sure no one makes her feel uncomfortable by teasing her, be very supportive of her and in case she continues her apologising session, accept all her apologies with a smile and a warm hug.. Do not make her feel bad' Manik continued, whilst FAB5 and Navya yawned at his never ending speech about how they should treat Nandini when she wakes up. After finishing his lectures regarding Nandini Manik left the kitchen to take the coffee for Nandini to her room leaving a smirking FAB5 behind.
'Yaar yeh Manik aj kal kuch zyada hi Nandini Nandini nahi kar raha?' asked Mukti as soon as Manik left the room. 'That means the plan is working right, they're kinda coming closer' Alya said. 'Plan isn't working Alya. Nandini abhi bhi contribute nahi karegi.. Whatever she did last night was because she was drunk.. Warna woh hosh mein Manik ke paas nahi jaegi' Cabir said. 'So ab hum kya karein?' Dhruv asked. 'Ab Nandini toh hamari help karne say rahi, so ab uske hissay ki mehenat bhi Manik ko karni hi gi, he'll have to take a step closer to Nandini.' Cabir said, whilst everyone else looked confused. 'Look we all know Manik is attracted to Nandini, he just doesn't know what to name this attraction. Bechara confused hai sooo hum mauke ka faida utha kar usay brain wash karein ge. Uske dimaag mein yeh khayal dalna hoga that he has started liking Nandini. Uske dimaag mein pyaar, ishq, prem, LOVE jaise words daalne honge, use thodi akal deni ho gi. Deep down he already knows he likes her, but woh khud admit nahi karna chahta, is liye we'll give him a little push. Baaki ka kaam woh khud karle ga' Cabir said.

Nandini opened her eyes with a heavy head. Unable to keep her eyes open, she shut them again and groaned in pain. She managed to sit up with a throbbing head. Just then Manik entered the room with black coffee and pain killers for her. He smiled looking at her condition, 'good morning' he said surprising Nandini. 'Manik?' she asked confused. 'Tum yahaan?' she managed to ask with her headache, struggling to keep her eyes open. 'Haan woh I thought you'd need this, especially after last night' he said pointing towards the coffee. The words 'last night' made Nandini alert and she recalled everything that happened the previous night, her eyes opened wide as reality hit her. 'Aiyappa nooo! What have I done? Manik I'm so sorry' she said as she covered her face with her palms. Manik smirked seeing her, 'Haan Nandini, kya kya nahi kiya tumne kal raat' Manik said making sad and innocent faces. Nandini immediately looked at him, 'what?' she asked. 'What do you mean what? Kal raat, what you did.. Uske baad hum, I mean tum aur mein..' Manik said innocently but was cut in between by Nandini 'Manik don't even try.. Mujhe tumhare yeh stupid games ke baare mein sab pata hai. Don't try to fool me. I know you too well' Nandini said, as she knew Manik's intentions. 'Acha you know me that well haan?' Manik asked in a teasing manner, 'yes I do.. And I trust you more than anything or anyone else in the whole world!' Nandini said unknowingly. Manik's body stiffened as he heard her say 'I trust you', he felt an adrenalin rush. He closed his eyes...
'Nandini agar tumhe kuch yaad nahi hai, toh tum kaise bol sakti ho ke hamare beech kuch nahi hua, haan?''Bolo Nandini..''Because... I... trust you'
Manik opened his eyes with a jerk. His breathing was erratic and that worried Nandini. 'Manik.. Tum theek ho? Kya hua?' she asked worriedly. Manik felt a sharp pain in his head, he closed his eyes again and held his head in his palms. Nandini's worries knew no boundaries, the last thing she wanted to see was Manik in pain. 'Manik!' she said trying to cup his face, whilst panicking. 'I'll go get help' she got up to leave but Manik held her wrist to stop her from leaving. The pain in his head was slowly dying down and he was a lot calmer now. He looked at a worried Nandini, trying to figure out why he kept seeing flashbacks of them together. He was looking for his answers in her helpless eyes. 'Manik.. Kya hua?' she whispered still worried for him. 'Kuch nahi.. Bus thoda sa headache, I injured my head so it happens sometimes.. Relax, I.. I'm fine' he said to assure her. The eye lock remained unbroken and Manik was still holding Nandini's hand.
Their very sweet moment and eye lock was unfortunately disturbed by Aryamman as he walked in the room, much to Manik's irritation. 'How are you feeling now Nandini?' Aryamman asked as he stepped inside the room, 'much better' Nandini said smilingly. Aryamman moved towards Nandini to hug her. Nandini also took a step forward to hug him but was blocked, by Manik's back. As soon as Manik saw Aryamman approaching Nandini, he came in between both of them and hugged Aryamman, so Aryamman won't hug Nandini. 'Aryamman yaar, kahaan hai itne dino se yaar.. We missed you man' Manik said pushing Aryamman a little away from Nandini. 'Dude.. We met last night?' Aryamman said making weird faces. 'Acha.. Seems like forever.. Yaar' Manik said as he playfully punched his arm. 'Dost' Manik said as he punched his arm a little harder, 'FRIEND' Manik said as he punched his arm even harder, he was taking out his frustration of Aryamman always disturbing his moments with Nandini. 'Manik relax! Tujhe mujh par thoda aur pyaar aya na toh tu mera arm break kar de ga' Aryamman said whilst caressing his arm which Manik mercilessly punched. 'Sorry' Manik murmured.
At the same time FAB5 also entered the room to see Nandini. 'Look who's up guys' Mukti said, 'kya yaar Mukti tu na bohot bossy hai' Cabir said in a teasing manner. 'I know yaar kya karoon.. Aur Cabir tu, kitna chipku hai, Raghav se abhi bhi chipka hua hai.. Right Nandini?' Mukti also joined the teasing session. 'At least tum dono meri tarah galat bhai se toh shaadi nahi kar rahe.. Hai na Nandini?' Navya also joined the evil twins in their tease Nandini session. Nandini felt extremely guilty about what she said to everyone the previous night, unable to look them in the eye she looked down and started tearing up, thinking how to apologise. Manik glared at Cabir, Mukti and Navya as even after his two hour long lecture about not teasing Nandini, they still teased her. Manik walked to Nandini 'Nandini relax they're joking' Manik said to calm her down but she continued weeping out of guilt. Seeing her cry Manik again glared at his shameless friends who were enjoying her state. There was complete silence in the room but then FAB5, apart from Manik, and Navya burst out laughing. 'God Nandini chill.. We're joking!' Mukti said. 'Seriously Nandini tumhe mauka chahiye na to cry?' Cabir asked still teasing her. Nandini finally looked up to see them laughing, she took it as her cue to apologise to them, 'Cabir, Mukti, Navya I.. I am so...' 'Sorry? Yaar Nandini we were joking man.. Ab please apna sorry ka bhashan mat dena.. Hum gussa nahi hai' Mukti said smilingly. 'Haan baba hum mazaak kar rahe the.. Hum mein se koi bhi gussa nahi hai' Navya seconded Mukti. Nandini finally smiled with relief knowing her friends didn't hate her after all she did last night. 'Acha agar tum logoon ka milan ho gaya ho toh mein apni best friend ko hug kar sakta hoon?' Aryamman said as he walked closer to Nandini, just as Nandini was about to step closer to hug him Manik fell on Nandini, keeping his arm on her shoulder and putting all his body weight on her. 'Ahhh mera sar' Manik said dramatically as he kept his hand on his face. 'Manik kya hua?' Nandini asked worried, 'phir se wahi sar dard.. Ahhh' Manik continued his drama. 'What!! Cabir Doctor ko call karo!' Nandini screamed. Cabir also got worried for Manik at first but when he saw Manik smiling to himself he understood Manik's drama to prevent Nandini from hugging Aryamman. He smirked to himself and gestured the rest of the gang to look at them and they all smiled mischievously. 'Haan Nandini I'll call the doctor tum ussay uske room mein le jao' Cabir said. 'Haan Nandini, sss bohot dard ho raha hai' Manik said innocently. 'Kitna bara nautanki hai yeh..' Mukti whispered to Cabir. 'Yeh toh madhubala ka bhi baap nikla' Cabir whispered back.
Nandini took Manik to his room and made him lie down, her worries knew no bounds so she herself took care of him. Cabir called the doctor because he promise Nandini he would, the doctor came and checked Manik and said it's normal to get headaches after amnesia and it's nothing to worry about, much to Nandini's relief. Nandini still left no stone unturned in taking care of Manik, she made sure he ate well, and rested properly as well. FAB5 and Navya were ecstatic to see them together, whereas Aryamman was sad seeing his love so happy with someone else, though he knew she only belongs to Manik, he still loved her and it hurt him seeing them together so he left without telling anyone. Cabir decided to leave them alone for the night, so he planned a night out for everyone. Manik couldn't leave because of his bad health, and Nandini volunteered to stay home with him to look after him whilst everyone else was gone. This meant they would be alone after everyone else left.
FAB5 along with Navya left for the club, they decided to stay the night at Alya's previous house so they wouldn't disturb the love birds.

Manik's POV:
She has been looking after me so well the whole day. I can see care for myself in her eyes, and it makes me feel so special. I love what she makes me feel. We're both alone in the house, and for some reason that makes me really happy. I love spending time with her, the thought makes me smile. She's special. I bite my lips to hide the wide smile on my face whilst I stare at her preparing her schedule for the classes she has tomorrow. She refused to leave me alone in my room till I fell asleep, so she's doing all her pending work in my room. It feels great to have her in my sight all the time.
Nandini's POV:
Is this right? Should I let myself be this close to Manik? I don't know what's right and what isn't, all I know is I want Manik to be okay.. I can't see you in pain Manik, I can't see you hurt. A single scratch on you gives me multiple deaths, your pain hurts me way more than it hurts you. My eyes tear up as I see him innocently looking out the window staring at the stars. But admist the tears a smile forms on my lips, stars connected us, and as long he is connected to stars I'm connected to him. MaNan is forever Manik, whether we're together or not. Our love will live hamesha. I shut my eyes to stop the tears from flowing out, I can't let Manik see my tears. If he asks any questions I won't have the answers, I've already told him enough when I was drunk.. I can't make any more stupid mistakes. Manik can never find out about us, never. I am sorry Manik, I know tum mujhe is ke liye maaf nahi karo ga, but I'm doing this to protect you..
Suddenly it started raining outside, the weather was perfectly romantic, for the two lost lovers. Rain is very special for Nandini as it takes her right back to the confession night, whereas even though Manik doesn't remember that night he still loves rain. Nandini saw Manik trying to get out of bed, 'Manik what are you doing?! Bolo hai na to rest, where are you going?' she asked annoyed. 'Oh god Nandini! Tumne mujhe kya room arrest par rakha hai? Bus sar mein dard tha, mar nahi raha tha jo tum mujhe patients ki tarah treat kar rahi ho' Manik said to which Nandini rolled her eyes. 'Par tum ja kahaan rahe ho?' she asked, 'woh I want coffee, you're busy so socha hum dono ke liye bana leta hoon' Manik replied. 'Tum rehne do mein banati hoon' Nandini said smilingly as she got up to leave, Manik also agreed and followed her to the kitchen. Nandini got started on the coffee and Manik stood by the kitchen window looking out at the amazing weather.
Manik's POV:
I stood by the window looking at the stormy night. I love the sound of rain, it gives me peace. I can't help but smile, the weather is perfect, and I have a beautiful girl in front of me making coffee for me. I don't know what we have Nandini, but I know there's something, neither of us can deny the connection between us. My own thoughts makes me smile to myself. It still bugs me that she lost her love, it makes me feel sad for her, she doesn't deserve this pain, she deserves do be loved unconditionally. I hope she finds someone who will give her that love, someone who will love her like crazy, make her forget all the pain she was once given, give her a happy life. My thoughts are broken by her sweet voice, 'coffee's done' she said with her beautiful smile as she offered me the coffee mug. 'Thanks' I smile back at her. 'Kya soch rahe ho?' she asked, how do I tell her I was thinking about her, how do I tell her she's pretty much all I think about these days. 'Nothing.. The weather, it's great isn't it..' I said to initiate a normal conversation. I love this, just talking to her, spending time with her, it makes my heart happy. She was saying something but I didn't listen, I was too busy admiring the spark in her eyes, the purity of her smile, and I was again smiling to myself, like an idiot. We didn't realise how long we were standing by the kitchen window talking, enjoying the chilly breeze and the sound of rain. Suddenly, there was a loud thunder and lightening, the lights went out leaving the room completely dark, the loud noise alarmed me and scared the life out of little Nandini. In fear she jumped on me like a frog, pushing me back to the wall. I was pinned to the wall by her petite frame, her arms were tightly around me, her face was hidden in my neck, and her proximity was starting to have its effect on me, as my heart started beating at an unimaginable speed.

Even if I do focus on other characters it won't be as much as MaNan, because the story revolves around them Manik and Nandini. Would you guys like to see Aryamman with Mukti? I know everyone's loves Abhi and Mukti, but they're together in every single MaNan story so I wanted to make this a little different, let me know what you think about that :) also Cabir and Navya won't be together in this story because Cabir is clearly gay in the show, he's not bisexual, he's not into women at all. So yeah let me know if you want to see more FAB5, more NavNi, and more focus on other love tracks!!
