DHRUV & ALIYA'S ROKA CEREMONY...
10 MONTHS LATER (continued...)
WRITER'S POINT OF VIEW-
A lot had happened in these 10 months in everyone's life. Manik had finally come back to live with his parents in Malhotra Mansion... Nandini had held his hand while he took the step he was hesitant in. Manik's sister Ridhima lived in the same city but the differences were way too much between her and Manik. Ridhima had finally started to speak with him after a long time and the brother sister duo finally came back together.
The family that had fallen apart due to Kavya was once again together under one roof because of Nandini, as she had constantly encouraged Manik to speak with his sister. The Malhotra family loved the girl since the day she had walked into their life. She had not only saved Manik's life that day, but had also supported and motivated Manik to get back to his family and friends.
This was one big reason that Malhotra's FAMILY WALL now had her photograph there. Manik's room had Nandini's photographs and also had one photograph in which they both were together, it was from the night they went with FAB 5 for dinner at Hotel TAJ [Chapter 21 (B)].
MANIK'S POINT OF VIEW-
MALHOTRA MANSION
I had reached home with mom and as we entered Ridzi was standing there with a grumpy face.
Ridzi- Manik you have spoilt my kids, now go and handle them... I just can't do it...
"Ok... Tum handle nahi kar pati dono ko that doesn't mean I am at fault..." I smirked at her and I knew I had awakened my sister's monstrous side... She ran behind me to hit me and I got my Jij's between us...
Ridzi- Sid get aside... Kya keh raha tha tu Manik... huhhh I am not capable of handling my kids... Sid hattoo... Firstly, you spoil my kids and then you say I can't handle them..
She finally gave up and was on verge of crying and went to Dad nagging like a kid as always... Jij's and I both chuckled over it...
Dad scolded me as usual and she giggled about it. It had been such a long time I saw her like that. My heart was elated to see her behave just like old days. I silently smiled and said to myself... "Thanks Nandini... Aaj Ridzi is with me because of you..."
Mom finally came to intervene and reminded me that everyone has been calling us to reach early for Dhruv and Aliya's ROKA Ceremony. I traversed my eyes on everyone and realized they were all ready except Viaan and me. We both rushed towards my room.
I firstly got my Champ Viaan ready in a cute black suit that matched mine. He pulled my tracks and I sat to match his height.
Viaan- (nervously) Manik Mama how do I look?? Please sachii sachii say... You know today Riya will also come with her palents (parents)... I want to look handshum (handsome) like you...
I chuckled on his cuteness; yes my champ liked a girl Riya in his class. He used to share everything with me... "Viaan, champ you look very handsome... Riya kya sab girls aap pe flat ho jayengi..." His eyes were bright with happiness...
Viaan- leally (really) Mama... (I just nodded in a yes and we high fived.)
After he left I got ready and glanced at Nandini's photograph... "Stop ogling at me Nandini... I know I am looking HOT... Hope aaj ceremony ache se ho jaye..." I smiled and gave a flying kiss to her picture. I quickly got her scarf and placed it as Pocket Square. I always carried it with me.
We all were sitting in the cars when Samaira started to nag that she wanted to be with me and champ in my car. I got her from Ridzi and we all left towards Hotel TAJ for the ceremony.
HOTEL JW MARRIOTT, JUHU
We reached the banquet hall reserved for Dhruv and Aliya's ceremony. It was a small function with close family and friends with no media intervention. Everyone had arrived and we began to attend all guests personally. Giving personal touch to guests was something I had learnt from Nandini; she was a Pro at it. Samaira was with me as she wasn't ready to get off my arms and Viaan was with Mom. Jij's, Ridhima and Mukti made sure all guests were being served properly. Dhruv and Aliya's parents were too happy to see us taking the responsibility of the arrangements.
The decors and set up were just like we had planned and were feeling relieved when everyone praised the ambience... Trust me it one hell of a thing to do, infact more difficult than the event that was next lined up for FAB 5...
Jij's, Akshay and Cabir finally got Dhruv who was wearing Kurta Payjama and he looked handsome in that attire... Ridzi and Mukti went to get Aliya who was looking gorgeous in a yellow lehenga. We had a group hug and then we made both of them sit in their respective places and the ceremony began. Their mothers did the Tilak for both and we all were extremely happy to see them. Everyone blessed them both for a happy life ahead...
After the Tilak I began to look at the last minute preparations along with Cabir. Everyone was seated and there was lot of hungama happening as all the aunties were singing songs and teased both Dhruv and Aliya. Everyone was asking Reena Aunty (Akshay's mom) to sing as she used to sing witty songs... She instantly agreed and then called everyone to sit around her. Everyone began to sit in a closed circle as we had the set-up like that so that everyone was involved in the function... Cabir and I were making sure everyone was comfortable...
Reena Aunty asked everyone to join her and then Cabir got the dholak and sat next to Dhruv... Ridzi and Mukti sat next to Aliya. Reena Aunty then called me...
Reena Aunty - Manik beta come sit next to Dhruv... come fast...
I went and sat next to Dhruv and Jij's... Samaira sat on my lap and Viaan was on Jij's lap. One of Dhruv's relatives asked Reena Aunty...
Relative- Reenaji aaj kaunsa kissa suna rahi hai aap...
Finally Reena Aunty spoke...
Reena Aunty- aaj hum kissa sunenge Dhruv aur Aliya ki shadi ki raat ka...
Everyone started to laugh and asked her to start, as everyone got impatient to know what might happen on their wedding night... Dhruv and Aliya were blushing and glanced at each other in between...

Everyone was dancing and then Mukti dragged me too... The ceremony was going well and the guests were too happy and were involved in the entire function... I left and went to attend Abhimanyu's dad... I was speaking to him about our next big event lined up in a week's time... Mom was standing just a few feet away from us with Reena Aunty...
Reena Aunty- Avantika, Manik ke bare kuch socha tumne... (Concerned). If you say then shall I speak to Mrs. Singhania for their daughter Aarohi?
My mom smiled and ignored the question... She looked at me and I smiled back at her... I knew why she did it.
Suddenly, all the aunty's called me and asked me to sing... I tried to avoid it but then the legendary singers like Alkaji and Sonu Nigamji asked me to sing... They all had to come to bless Dhruv and Aliya... We had a close association with them and also they were a part of our next big event in a week's time...
Sonu Nigam- Come on Manik, aaj toh tumhara gana banta hai...
Arijit Singh- Manik... Come on buddy... Kuch toh suna de...
Alkaji- Mana Manik beta you are now an international singer and FAB 5 humare music directors hai... But, humari baat toh rakh sakte hona...
I was completely speechless and spoke... "Alkaji, please don't say like that, we can never match up to the craft and music you have created all these years... I'll sing..." Everyone started to applaud for me and as I approached where the Piano was placed... I took Viaan and Samaira too with me...
Viaan sat on the chair and started to play the piano and I adjusted the mike for him. He played the prelude and after he finished everyone was applauding for him... I was feeling so proud of my champ... He looked at me for my approval if he played correctly with a puppy face... I ruffled his hair and gave a high five to him... His eyes were bright with happiness...
Viaan- Manik Mama now youl (your) turn...
I smiled at him and removed my coat and placed Nandini's scarf on the piano... And then Mukti took the coat from me and I sat on the chair...
