CHAPTER-8
"Manik" i again said as I wanted the assurance that he's listening to me
He looked at me
"Bolo mein sun rha hu"he said straightening himself
I was really shocked.. Maybe I was wrong there was no need to be shocked as how can I forget its manik... man with a gold heart,
"Manik you know we are czns ..and .."I stopped to see his face
His expressions were changed,with brows risen up and lips curled up in a "so"
"Soo??..agei bolo nandini Im listening" he spoke coherently
"And...umm...actually ...I want to give us a chance as cousins" I finally said gathering some courage as I knew I have never been nice to him,I thought I had clearly shared my thoughts but...
"Matlab" to my dismay he again asked
"Matlab k lets be friends... I mean 1 month is left so let's make some good memories "I said smilingly
I could see he was taken aback by my sudden change, but how would I tell him that this 1 week has taught me about the true meaning of a relationship ...but I thought of taking it slowly.

I frowned ,taking a deep breath out of frustration,and he chuckled

"Your behaviour... It has to be normal and you'll have to behave like my wife"he said with a smirk
I looked at him in a state of shock
"Manik i said friends ...I didn't say husband wife...tou"I tried to clear but it seemed like he was too adamant not to listen
"Sochlo...biwi bhan ker raho GI tou friend bhan ker rahun ga" he placed this challenging condition which was not my cup of tea

"Look 1 month left na so let's make some really good MEMORIES" he said stressing the word memories

"But manik ..tumhei bhi husband bhanna parei ga then"I spoke and he immediately looked at me as he wasn't expecting this sudden confession
"That's what I want" he spoke under his breath but I heard it...did I heard right..??
"Manik tumnei kia kaha" I asked him ...I wanted him to say that again
"Nothing... Chalo now you aren't well so ziada batei mat socho and go to sleep"he spoke in a serious tone
"Manik aisei gussa kiun ker rhei ho...liar se bhi tou bol saktei hona" I said with a frown in a childish tone
He suppressed his smile
"Acha ...gussa nhi ker rha now sleep .."he said and I smiled
Manik was about to go to sleep on the couch when I stopped him
"Manik you can sleep here only"I said he looked at me and then said,
"Mera room hei jaha merzi so jaunga ...tum sojao" he said and I frowned
"Manik will be manik...monster ...monster manik" I whispered and he chuckled followed by my tongue bitten between my own teeth

Next morning,
A new morning it was I was happy ...infact my heart and brain were happy... Somewhere down satisfied... I opened my eyes and first thing that I saw was manik sleeping like a baby on his tummy on the bed but at the corner
How can one be so cute and of course trustworthy..I thought
Moving a bit I covered him properly with the duvet as it was cold,I got off the bed and went to take a hot shower ,I was feeling much better ,the fever had gone in the night
...
I was in dadus room ,talking to him making him eat breakfast,
"Kia baat hei aj happy mood hei??"he said lovingly
"Hmm kiun k aj apki is nalaik bety ne aik acha kaam kerdia"I said
"Acha or wo kia kaam hei" he asked
"Umm leave that na plz ap ye finish kero" I converted his mind and then we continued
"Chalo I'll leave it"
"thank God he didn't asked further ...what would I tell him that I'm made manik my friend ..huh...he'll definitely start laughing "I thought
My thoughts got disturbed as I heard maniks voice
"morning daduu"he said taking his blessings
"Morning beta" he replied
He looked at me and gave me a smile ,gosh that smile melt me to the core,that ever bewitching attractive killer smile it was,
I couldn't do anything then shivering ,this wasn't something new as when ever he has looked at me,the numerous butterflies in my tummy gets active but today it was differeny they got active for a change for their somersault.
Only I know how I asked him to be a friend rather then being a husband.But it was important as I wanted to apologise,to make a place in his heart,but somewhere in my heart I was feeling strange because of his behaviour ,how can he change just like that, a person who was not at ready to look at my face was today smiling at me just after a single encounter.

In the evening,
I was standing in front of the mirror all tensed,nervous thinking about one thing that manik said in the morning,no.. no...he ordered me,how could I obey that ,and I could I say a no I myself promised him that I'll live like a wife.
Mornings flashback
"Nandini" manik said as I was arranging the bed
"Han" I replied
"how are you feeling now??"he asked
"I'm perfectly fine now ...thankyou" I smiled
"Hmm ...so you remember last night u promised to live like my wife "he said with a smirk and I could sense something big was coming
"yeah ...I remember"I said casually
He started coming towards me taking steady steps,it accelerated my heartbeat
"Ma.. an..maani..kk"i took his name in a shivery tone
And that's when my back hit the wall,and nkw I had become sandwich between manik and wall
He glided his fingers on my bare arm to my collarbone and sliding from there he held my chin sofly and made me look at him
He leaned down a bit and then said huskily in my ears
"1 month ...and I wanna make it memorable ...with more exciting things...so be ready ...tonight "and the he winked naughtily
For a moment I forgot to breath,yes my heartbeat stopped due to his effect

"Godd manik kia kernei wala hei. " I thought holding my head

PRESENT,
Maano was sitting on the floor colouring her colour book,when she looked at her papa who was busy and fully engulfed in his laptop
"Papa ..apko pata hei k mene kis cheez mein colol kia" she said innocently
She waited for the reply...but her papa was really very busy it looked like.
"Papa" she said politely
That's it she without saying anything or making any noise started crying
"Maano...jaani yaha aei mama k pass ...milk time babyy"nandini called her from the kitchen
She quietly for up and went to the kitchen,
She was the most obedient and innocent girl on this planet,the girl who has never troubled her parents, other then showing her cute antics and tantrums ..that her papa always say that it's her love.One word against her and the person is gone.
She entered in the kitchen and sat quietly on the chair,nandini who was working looked at her smilingly
"Baby kia hua. Come on jaldee se peelo " she said lovingly
Maano lowered her eyes and looked elsewhere
"Maano baby kia hua??look at mama jaan ap roi kia??" Nandini asked in a fit of fury with no stop
She nodded her head in a no
"Look at me...jalde batao kisi ne kuch kaha??" Mother was in action
"maa.maama.."she said sobbingly as she couldn't control anymore
"G g jaaan bolo" nandini said lovingly cupping her face and wiping off the tears
"Pa..pa..papa"
"Papa papa bahir bethey hena ...ap uni k pass thy...bulau papa ko acha wait" was about to go but she stopped
"Mama...papa does not love his maano"the poor girl started crying
"What..??jaaana ap ye kia kerei ho hmm??papa loves his maano so much"she explained
Nandini was making her understand when they heard a voice
"Papa loves his maano more than anything in this world"he said ever so lovingly
She looked at him with teary eyes
He extended his hands,she looked at him in his eyes and thats it she forgot all the worries and anger and went running towards him ,he at once picked her up and hugged her tightly
"Bus bus...papa ki Jaan ..papa loves you alot...or ye apko kisnei kaha k papa does not loves you???" He tried to shush her down
"Papa ...papaa.wo..woo abeer bhai said that " she told him innocently
"Kia kaha apke aneer bhai nei" he asked
"Wo kehtei hei k tumhei sab chor deingei aik din ...especially papa...because he does not loves you never ever.."she told him
