The pristine white three storeyed building is standing in the serene environment,away from the crowd of the city but not disconnected from it.The air inside the house today is not usual ;whole house is scented with extra Agarbattis; prayers have finished after running for an extra long hour;anticipation accompanied with nervousness is emanating from every member of the Vashishth family, sitting in front of laptop awaiting the result of Medical entrance examination of their beloved daughter, about to release in few minutes .Finally the result is announced Nandini Vashishth has attained rank 37 in all India medical entrance examination.Mr Alok Vashishth, Nandini's proud father and Mrs Sunaina Vashishth her equally proud mother are immensely happy to see their dream come true. All the other members of the family Nandini's chachu Arun Vashishth , chachi Sapna Vasishth , Her little brother Rishabh and her twin cousins Sanjana and Harshit have simultaneously crushed her into a big fat hug expressing their joy.

"Congratulations beta, we are so proud of you .Your hard work and devotion has paid off !! well done." Said her father putting his hand on her head .

"I will just bring sweets ,and we have to inform everyone of the result." Saying so her mother came into action .

In few hours Nandini was being showered with wishes and blessing by neighbours ,friend ,relatives and acquaintances. Her house was full of people celebrating her success in the examination.

Nandini was happy, genuinely happy to see her parents and family all happy and constantly smiling with a proud look on their faces;happy to see her hard work producing a desired result.But she couldn't get her turmoil out of her heart and mind.This is parents' dream not hers. This is not she really wants to do . Her life is music. She wants to be a singer. But how to reach her dream when she is not even trying for it. She has to talk to her father.

"Oh god!! Please give me the courage to speak to dad.Its so difficult but I can't give up without trying."Sending the prayer to Almighty Nandini went to call her father.

Malhotra Mansion

Several workers are busy in various household chores . Modern,ultra sophisticated dining hall is occupied by three members of the family sitting together yet busy in their own world enveloped by usual silence.Mr Anmol Malhotra , counted among top business tycoons of India is the chairman of Malhotra group of companies.His wife Mrs Nayanika Malhotra, equally sharp and astute businesswoman, is managing director of MGC .And the youngest Malhotra, Manik Malhotra has recently grabbed a seat in India's best business school.

"Manik ,all the procedures and formalties of your admission have been taken care of.you are joining the college from next week."informed rather commanded Mr Anmol Malhotra after hanging up his call.

"Okay Dad " replied Manik not so enthusiastically.

" Great Manik and enjoy your time till that. uh, well I am throwing a party for the success of my latest venture tonight . Anmol, Manik be there at time. I'll send you the details of venue and timing, later. I am off to office now .See you in the evening."said Nayanika and left for the office . Anmol too soon left without noticing the gloomy face of their son.

I've done everything to make Mom and Dad happy, to have a little of their time ,an ounce of their Attention.Now is the question of my dream.I can't sacrifice it .Music is my life, essence of who I am I can't give it up.I've to talk to dad .Oh God please give me the strength and courage to protect my dream." Decided Manik with determination.

Manik and Nandini have got themselves ready to begin their battle.

"I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust the sail to always reach my Destination"
