How to increase our forum activities?

Dear all,

This topic has been created for all the members of Kaise Mujhe Tum Mil Gaye forum to bring their attention towards the specific strategies we must adopt to increase our forum activities.

But why do we need to increase the forum activities? Because that will eventually lead to the improved ranking of our forum in India Forums new show ranking system.

1) A Daily Discussion Thread (DDT) will be created everyday by the DTs, to have a detailed discussion on the current day episode. If someone wants to volunteer for a detailed written update, then can PM me.

Why not Episode Discussion Threads (EDTs)?

Because a single EDT continuing till 150 pages doesn't contribute much in forum ranking. Apart from that, new members would feel lost there & would not be willing much to join the discussions.

2) You can create new topics in the thread for specific discussions anytime, but those threads can't be named as "General Discussion Thread" or something on those lines, and they won't be allowed to run over 150 pages. This will benefit our forum from the ranking point of view, by increasing the number of topics in the forum.

3) You have to use chat club for all chatting and off-topic discussions, including previous episodes if you wish to.

4) You need to use DDT for all episode related discussions, but new DDT will be created everyday around 12 noon IST and the previous one get locked during the same time.

Chaska Meter show ranking of India forums depends upon

1. Buzz :- Buzz points come from the comments posted on telly buzz articles and videos posted on IF and the show must be tagged in them. For more buzz points, write show's name with correct spelling and first letter in capital for example Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahaani.

2. Rating :- To get rating points, you need to hit the Chaska Meter. The more votes, the more points. But always rate 5, rating less than 5 reduces points.

3. Views and Activity :- We need to increase activity in the forum. Some important things -

i) SILENT MEMBERS PLEASE COMMENT AND BE ACTIVE. Just liking the comment is not enough.

ii) Rather than opening new threads on same topic.Try to make the existing topics Pink. The color of the thread just before the name becomes pink when it gets 250+ views or 25+ replies or both. And the more the pink threads, the higher the ranking will be.

iii) Comment on Written updates threads also. Its a way to increase the forum ranking.

iv) Keep posting in all the threads like Photo Gallery, Creation Gallery, ATs etc.

4. Followers :- Followers are those who subscribe the show on IF. To subscribe the show, open the show's main page. You will see a follow button just near the montage of the show. Click on it and follow.

5. Celebrity Ranking :- This is also an important part for CM ranking. For increasing celebrity ranking, join their fan clubs, comment on their profile, videos, articles and photos.

That's all for now. You need to follow the rules of the forum at all times. Questioning and criticizing DTs in open threads publicly won't be allowed. Hope you maintain a peaceful and healthy atmosphere for discussions in this forum.

The whole purpose if increasing the forum rank will be defeated if the members of the forum is confined to one particular thread.

They can create different threads for discussing past and present track and discuss that way we will have increased forum ranking like other shows.

Many members can come up with different types of analysis and not just post under one particular thread if they wish to.

Chat club is made so that random discussions may take care which is unrelated to KMTMG, like their daily happenings etc.

Lol... KMTMG IF rank is currently at no.14.

I just checked serials that are at rank 9 - 13, they are literally dead forums.. barely any active discussion or latest comments. You want us to believe that it's a true ranking?I wonder who hits their Chaskameter if no active users nor discussions, maybe bots.

KMTMG was very active till recent restrictions, so keep imposing new rules while dead forums are placed in higher ranks . Only the naive will accept the ranking reality and think increasing activity here will make this serial get higher IF ranks when other serial forums are running on bots

Ranking is not done by any bots. There is a process of calculation depending on buzz, forum activities etc, however we haven’t imposed any rules as you are wrongly portraying. We have asked you to create different threads for discussing things instead of posting everything under one thread. However it is totally upto the forum members whether they want to increase their rank or not. We just wanted to help. If you people are happy with current ranking then 👍

It's convenient to say that nothing was imposed when a thread while we were in the midst of active discussion were literally locked.

Thanks for reminding on CM calculation that buzz is one of the contributor. Some dead forums are ranked higher bcoz of higher buzz count than KMTMG. I believe buzz comes from liking news feed at fb & X through IF. I wonder how that is done without active users.

See, neither we have restricted your discussions nor we have stopped you in making new thread which you have created for discussions just like EDT. But the main thing is, only because this forum was active, we decided to do the ddt thing to make it more active. And the EDT which you were using was close to 150 pages and I made the announcement of DDT to you all before locking it. Our main aim was to make your favourite show's forum more active, which can't be possible without your contributions. If you would use DDT and discuss it there, your forum and thread will be flaunted in the popular 24 hours forum topic. This DDT thing is really working great in some other forums, that's why this decision had been taken, which will eventually help in your forum's better performance. But since you all don’t really want it or use it, we stopped doing the DDT thing. So hope you do have happy discussions in the forum in whichever thread you like.
