After many years noticing Zee Hindi programming & broadcast teams probable usage of some data analysis, applying strategy and taking risks while allotting time slots for new serial launches. They finally broke BT teams monopoly from 8.30pm to 10.30pm on weekdays.
For almost 3 years BL & KKB have some overlap loyal viewers who watch both serials one after another on TV, without switching to other channels come what ever crap gets shown. similarly KKB & KDB have an overlap viewership base for 7 long years.
Jagriti was squeezed at 8.30pm between BL & KKB to draw some viewers of BL as well as KKB.
Now Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile at 9.30pm got squeezed between KKB & KDB.
Prior to that few months back extended telecast of 45 mins KDB was used to uplift KMTMG which barely used to start at its official allotted slot 10pm before it got shifted to 7.30pm. Then Vasudha was launched at 10.30pm to grab some attention of old KDB viewers.
Interestingly all these 3 serials don't have any popular stars to instantly attract media & SM attention and to create regular buzz with crazy fandoms, majority of cast are new or upcoming actors on TV, and serials seem to be made at average budgets with not so expensive actors mostly relying on successful remake story plots.
After trying hard for couple of years to create buzz and attract instant viewership by casting popular and much expensive actors like Karanvir sharma, Shakti Arora, Arjun Bijlani, Shabir, Dheeraj, Sriti, Avinash Reiki etc. in their new or ongoing serials with average production quality, lousy story plots and weak execution, need to see how long this changed strategy sustains and works for Z.
(come December 2024 high chance ONLY Sriti from above list will be active expensive popular star among Z serials still left, even Shradda may go on mat leave)
