Angad inspired from Salman Khan?

A silly thot, but I was just reading Lucky's review (am going to watch the movie today, late night show!!!) and a thot just struck me, that Angad's character seems to be inspired from Salman Khan!

Angad is brash, impulsive, impetuous, rash, aggressive, arrogant, supercilious, intense, spoilt, insensate and a lot many things......and Salman Khan has always been potrayed in the media in the same manner!

Also I read somewhere that when the Balaji Team was looking for a male lead for KYPH, they were looking for someone who would be a mixture of Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan! I think what Ekta had in mind was, not just a guy who would look similar to these dudes, but she was also referring to the type of guy ''Angad'' would be like. For that matter, Sanjay Dutt was also into Drugs and stuff in his younger days, and correct me if I am wrong, even Angad is into Drugs & Alchohol!

Also, assuming that Angad realizes later on (after ditching Kripa) that he is actually in love with her, but she does not reciprocate the same, and he goes all out to make her life miserable.......so similar to the Salman Khan - Aishwarya Rai affair! And Amit Tandon will be the Vivek Oberoi in Kripa's life😆

👏👏 Chilly I agree with u about Angad whole persona being a mixture of Salman and Sanju. For all their arrogance, spoilt brattish nature, aggresiveness etc etc. somehow these two still have got that child like adorable streak in them. Thats just my opinion and I am sure Angad will be potrayed in that way too.

And as for Salman ditching Aishwarya I doubt that. I guess its the other way round 😉😃 and I cannot compare Amit Tandon ( at this stage atleast) with Vivek ( though when we get to see Amit and his acting ability we could form an opinion about it). I for one can't stand that Vivek guy ( sorry Vivek fans if I have hurt you'll.)

But anyways it was a very imaginative piece of article indeed. Good job Chilly 👏👍🏼. Hope to see more of such posts from you.

amazing thought! where dyou cum up with these things?!👏 and i adore those adjectives... so precise... so fitting! i think everything falls perfectly into place when u take that perspective na? plus salman is the kind of guy whose personality is quite different from what the media likes to portray... so if this IS the true inspiration for angad's character, then i guess there must be more emotional depth and layers to his character than we expected. he may turn out to be a regular nice guy, respectable and more to be pitied than hated.

A victim of a bad upbringing, angad has probably never received true love and has just come to accept it from the sour-grapes-phenomenon point of view. you know, he is used to getting what he wants, but even tho he disregards love, somewhere deep down with him, the subconcious, the true angad is screaming out for love, which he will never get. that is why, he thinks, that if he cannot get it, it may not be so good after all. he probably comes across as brash only because he's insecure, unsure of what life holds for him... you get my drift... just a stone facade with a heart of probably not pure gold, maybe adulterated, nevertheless gold! and that heart can only respond to true love which Kripa is only too willing to give.

I agree with you Chilly.....but Angad may get intense with Kripa but I don't think he'll hurt her.


Angad is definitely a take-off on Salman but his character is expected to get better .We cannot expect the same from Saloo.

OOPS! I didn't mean to offend any Salman fan. Sorry, galti ho gayee. What I meant was that Salman will stay the way he is while Angad can be toned down because he is a character.

Yup Nitica, I agree with you on the Saluu thing, I am not too big a fan of his, but after watching Lucky yesterday, I have to say that there are very few 40 years old who can look so dashing.....and on top of that he acted really well in the movie!

😊 eh wow so u watched Lucky last night ah gr8. Yup Salman's physique man very few men to beat that and yes he acts well too.

And yeah as for Vivek 🤢 a real show off , for that matter even i find Ash a fake and I guess its just a way of retaliating back to Sallu that she is so friendly with Vivek, else I cannot find any romance in them.

Anyways forget about them yup Iqbal Khan is surely someone like Salman, Sanju whom Ekta wants to project as.

Wish they show Angad next week atleast and not just guest appearances.

Chilli and Lata agree with you ladies, and yes I share the same feeling for Ash she may be the most gorgeous looking lady in the world but has something so artifiical about her, she is fake ( and hey I am not jealous of her beauty), I prefer Sushmita any day , she is so down to earth.

Sunjay Dutt though started as a spoilt brat , but over the years has matured and in real life father and son are real life hero's with there endless goodwill and social work.Salman after million controversy in his life seems to have calmed down, and yes can pull any role with ease.

ummm... he does kind of have what Salman has. SO, I agree with you there. I don't see any resemblence to Sanjay Dutt tho. He's so underground nowadays except in Shabd because he looked sophisticated there. Oh well~ anywho I love how Salman looks in Lucky - No Time for Love. He also looked good in Mujshe Shaadi Karoge too except he looked a little queer when he wears those tight little mini shorts and plays the guitar. 😈 No offence to any Salman Khan fans out there but I think he looks a little queer sometimes. I joked with my sister that the only reason Ash broke off with him was because he told her that he's actually gay and was using her to show to be that he was straight ... yea bad joke. 😕 Its the shorts man ... its the shorts ...
