What made you decide to launch two newcomers in both your films?

Newcomers are fresh and come without any baggage. Also they have ample time and dates are readily available. Most of the stars don't have time before 2009 as so many films are being made and the entertainment sector is booming.

Can you share some experiences of working in Aloo Chat? We have heard that you are going abroad for shooting.

Aloo Chat is shaping well. It's an unusual subject which will showcase the talent of Aftab (Shivdasani) and Aamna (Shariff). No we have no plans to go abroad for shooting. It's news to me!

What other projects are you working on?

There are a couple of film projects which would be launched by my production house Maverick. It's too early to talk about it. I am the brand ambassador of Fair One's fairness cream for men so I have that responsibility too.

Any plans to comeback to acting?

Of course! This year I am surely getting back to acting which is my passion and it would be a film at least one if not two.

Is it true that the release of Dulha Mil Gaya has been delayed due to SRK?

It's called Sach Hue Sapna Mere. It's a love story. It's a weekly soap and has a new lead pair besides Suhasini Mulay in a pivotal role

In this age of satellite TV why a show on DD?

DD means national television and it still continues to have a loyal viewer ship. There are still places where people don't have cable but do get DD. Above that good content is wanted everywhere. It is a business decision.
