Gurpreet Singh (Sujal of Ekta Kapoor's Kahiin To Hoga) and his wife Kanishka are livid ever since they read Sandiip Sikcand hinting to HiTLIST (November 15) that the couple had been to his office, spoken derogatorily about Balaji Telefilms and asked for his help in creating problems for Kapoor's production house.
A close friend of Kanishka says the couple is contemplating taking legal action against Sikcand. "Kanishka and Gurpreet have still not recovered from the shock. They are two people who have always kept away from backbiting. They are busy in their own world. Why would they go to Sikcand? They have absolutely no issues with Balaji."
Who is Sikcand?
Gurpreet too blasts Sikcand, saying, "I don't know what Sandiip Sikcand looks like. I play the protagonist in Kahiin To Hoga and have no time to indulge in stupidity. Why would I want to create problems for Balaji Telefilms? I love Balaji and would like to spend my entire career with them."
The couple strongly feels Sikcand is carrying his war with Ekta Kapoor a bit too far and is using Balaji artistes as pawns, under a myth that this would pull down Ekta's serials and prop up Sony shows.
Cheap publicity
"Sikcand is desperate for publicity. He is the one who is spreading rumours about Balaji artistes. Calling Balaji artistes manipulators will not serve his purpose," opines Gurpreet.
"Instead, Sikcand should focus on working hard. He should use his creativity in work, which will give him publicity automatically," he adds.
A furious Kanishka chips in, "Gurpreet has never met Sikcand in his entire life. I met him once before Gurpreet entered Balaji. He should mind his language before speaking about somebody, and stop dragging innocent people into controversies. This is nothing but a figment of his wild imagination."
