Aftab Shivdasani: Aamna is professional and so is any other newcomer
Popular TV star Aamna Shariff is making her big screen debut with ALOO CHAAT. And in her very first effort she has managed to impress her co-star Aftab Shivdasani when it comes to sheer professionalism.
''It was great to have Aamna as your co-star. She is a thorough professional but then honestly, who isn't in today's day and age'', reasons Aftab Shivdasani for whom it is a comeback of sorts, what with a delayed DE TAALI and MONEY HAI TO HONEY HAI (where he had a blink and a miss role) being his only two releases in 2008.
''Everyone is so competitive out there and even new comers are so professional'', Aftab says in appreciation of Aamna without going overboard though.

After mostly working with established co-stars, was there an adjustment problem for Aftab, considering Aamna comes from a TV background?
''On the contrary it was only helpful since Aamna has been on television for so many years. Due to this, there was no question of her being conscious at all. She wasn't nervous and I can say that maybe I learnt a thing or two from her'', smiles Aftab who would be seen in an array of projects this year beginning from Robby Grewal directed ALOO CHAAT.
''I guess in today's age and time, everyone comes with a mindset of 'I have to get it done in my maiden effort itself''', reasons Aftab, ''No one comes thinking that 'Ok, let me be a little unprofessional because I have managed to make it to the sets of a feature film. There is a level of punctuality and discipline in every newcomer who respects the fact that everybody here wants to do good work. Aamna isn't an exception.''
