Scene of the Week:
The scene of the week this week has to be the one where Raina takes Kinjal to meet her friends and introduces Kinjal as her mother. It was so bitter sweet because we know that Raina really wants a mother in her life as well as Kinjal wanting a child in hers; it was sad because of the fact that they are themselves the separated mother and child but they haven't the slightest clue. Raina was so innocent when she introduced her Kinjal aunty as her Maa it was just adorable. Kinjal playing the role was awesome too, she just slipped right into it. I guess what they say is right, being a mother comes naturally…it cannot be taught. Looking forward to more mother and child scenes next week.
Dialogue of the Week:
"Mujhe aacha lagta hai ke woh log aapko meri Maa samajte hai." –Raina
This line was powerful and so sad at the same time. It goes to show how much love and admiration that Raina has for Kinjal. However, it also showed us just how much Raina misses having a mom in her life. I cannot even imagine children going through life without a mother. I chose not to thing of things like that, call it unrealistic or ignorance, but when I thing of things like that I get so depressed. Every child has the right and the need for a mother in their lives, biological or not. Maybe that is why I am an avid supporter of adoption. As much as I hate my mom sometimes, I can't imagine life without her. Ok, now that I have gotten totally off topic…let me return. Raina also feels her connection to Kinjal and it will be awesome seeing all of the feelings and bonds developing between Kinjal and Raina.
Style Icon of the Week:
The style icon of the week goes to none other than Kinjal. Post leap this girl is rocking her wardrobe. Before the leap her outfits were interesting and fresh with all the criss-cross cut outs on the sleeves, but now…Wow! Kinjal is totally rocking the anarkali style suits. The colors are a mix of neutral, dark and bright colors; the combinations are awesome. Her make up is a bit on the heavier side, but it looks good. Hey eyes look gorgeous with the thick black eyeliner and the simple tinted gloss; not too much but just right. There is a new glow about her face now. Maybe that has to do with the fact that she isn't trying to solve a million and one mysteries like she was pre-leap, maybe she has just caught up on her beauty sleep. Either way, she is looking good. No wonder Vidyut is dewaana in her love.
Shining Star of the Week:
Shining star of this week was Kanav's mom, I think her name is Mriduta. She was awesome this week with Raina and even with Kinjal. She is so smitten with her cute little granddaughter that is just shows on her face. When she hand scenes with Raina the joy and happiness was evident in her face. Even without Raina her scenes were superb. Like when she comes to the realization that Kanav needs to get married again, if not for his sake or her sake, he had to do it for the sake of Raina, his child. It was refreshing to see the lovable grandma and not the evil, vindictive one, aka- Niharika and Sandhya.
Biggest Disappointment of the Week:
The biggest disappointment of this week had to be Kanav and his stupidity, for lack of a better word. Don't get me wrong, I love Kanav as much as the next person, ok, maybe not that much but I still love the dude; this week however he really disappointed me. Some chick comes up and tells him she was accidentally artificially inseminated (say that 10 times fast) and he believes it. Come on, where is the brain that he used to build his company? I can understand that the story is a bit far fetched for just any girl to come up with, but still, a simple DNA test to verify would be nice. Just to be 100% positive he should have had it done. This is his daughter we are talking about, how can he just take the word of some chick he met at the airport and not do some investigation.
Even sadder is that he is totally falling for her innocent girl act, which by the way isn't all that great to begin with. Neeti's crying and acting is so fake in front of Kanav, someone needs to give the girl lessons on how to cry and make it believable. Hell, I'll do it…how else do you think I get my dad to agree with me (j/k…sort of). Kanav is thinking that Neeti is all innocent, bholi bhali baachi and what not. He is buying into her speeches and acts like he is a 5yr old and she is supposed to be his fairy Godmother. It is really sad I tell ya!
One more thing that hurt me, something I just have to get off of my chest…Kinjal ignoring Vidyut. I did not appreciate that at all! Poor dude was waiting for her to have lunch and chick never showed. The lunch turned into a dinner and still girl is no-show. He is so in love with her and Kinjal is taking all of that for granted. I get that she feels a strong connection with Raina, blah blah blah, but a simple phone call to Vidyut would kill her, would it? Kinjal better shape up or else Jaz is coming to take Vidyut Sir for herself.
Biggest Shocker of the Week:
The shocker for this week had to be seeing that Neeti and Niharika are in cahoots with each other. It shouldn't be surprising if you really think about it, I mean Niharika is willing to do pretty much anything she needs to in order to get what she wants. Still, it was a little shock to see that she had planted a girl to run into Kanav at the airport. She wastes no time what so ever, does she?
Another shocker, sort of, was that Sandhya and Niharika have also joined hands all in order to keep Kinjal away from Kanav and the Sindhya parivaar. It was only a matter of time before the two evils became one and apparently that time is now. God help Kinjal and Kanav…how long will the Kajal fans have to wait to see their jodi be together.
One more tidbit, a bit of a shocker in terms of Ekta land; Kinjal in a night suit. As far as I can remember, usually, Ekta's heroines, vamps, basically any female in Ekta's shows, they never go to bed in pajamas. Usually they are all dolled up in make up, have loads of jewelry on and the nicest sari's you've ever seen. It was a nice change to see Kinjal in regular sleep wear for a change, the make up still there, but hey…we will take what we get
- Our hero, Mr. Kanav Sidhya, helping the damsel in distress! It was so sweet when he was helping the 'innocent' girl he ran into, Neeti. Just goes to show how much of a gentleman he is, also shows how gullible he is as well. But hey, you win some you lose some…
- All the Raina scenes were just too cute. The little angel, Raina, talking to God about her mother and what not. It was cute when she asked God to send her one of his angels. Then when she was asking Urmila if she gets mad because Raina wanted to come for Kinjal's food. Then her planning Kinjal's complete shift to Sindhya mansion. Adorable I tell ya, bilkul baap pe gayi hai.
*lots of funny happenings on KNK this week…really made me laugh*
- Snoopy, snoopy Dadi! Chi…aapni poti ki diary/art book pad rahi thi. I swear, mother and grandmothers alike have some sort of encoded gene that just can't keep them from snooping around their kid's things.
- The scene when Neeti runs into Kanav…omg, it was hilarious. It was funny because of what Kanav says, "Ek 6ft ka admi aapke samne chal raha hai and you can't see!" I just thought that line was funny. But really, 6ft and still she crashes into him. Andi hai kya!
- I found it hilarious when the shot the scene of Neeti praying to god as the plane was taking off. This is Kanav Sindhya, all ultra rich and what not, you would think he could afford first class seat, but I guess not. The 'plane' was so cramped it was just horrible. Neeti toh Kanav ke godh mein bait jaati aagar jaga thoda aur kaam hota toh. Really, that was just horrendous.
- Raina's dance performance she is on stage, poor girl is a nervous wreck, but she is none the less the center of attention. Yet the spot light is not on her it is on Kinjal. Did they expect Kinjal to bust out in song and dance right there or what?
- The look of Niharika's face when Raina walked right past her with her trophy and gave it to Kinjal. The look was just priceless!
- When Neeti was crying at the dinner table after Kanav came back it ws funny. The look on Kanav's face was like oh-no-not-again! He even said, "Aab kyun roh rahi ho?" I think that was Kanav's sly way of calling her a cry-baby!
- While Kanav and Neeti are at the airport the final boarding call is announced for all travels going form London to India. Funny thing, the announcer was Desi…how you can tell…the think and unmistakable Desi Accent! London needs new announcers, ones without the Desi jalwa!
