I cant believe this.
Finally, a full-fledged sentence! Too short for my liking and really quite useless, but we're getting somewhere.

What in the world is happening to me!!
Adi vents his frustration by kicking a rock which hits one of the first floor windows of Maithili's house. It makes quite a ruckus. A few moments later, the door of her house opens and Avinash Khanna steps out.
Ooooo ... Someone's in trouble.
"Adi? Beta, what are you doing here?" Mr. Khanna walks over to Adi.
Yeah Adi. What are you doing here?
"Woh ... uncle, I ... um, I just dropped Maithili off."
You did a lot more than just drop her off.
"Shut up," Adi mumbles a bit too loudly.
"What was that Adi?"
"Nothing uncle, I just have a really bad headache."
"Well, why don't you come in and rest a bit."
"That does sound like a good idea," he rubs his forehead.
Adi begins to move towards the house with Avinash.
"I'll tell Maithili to get you some medicine."
Adi's feet automatically stop moving and he removes his hand from his head.
"No!"
Avinash is confused at Adi's outburst and is about to say something when Adi makes the wise decision to further elaborate.
"I mean my headache's gone. I feel perfect uncle. I ... I don't need medicine."
But you neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed Maithili don't you Adi?
Adi hits his head with the palm of his hand in hopes of shutting the annoying voice up. It seems that he forgot that Avinash is still standing next to him.
"...umm... see, it's good as new."
Without uttering another word, Adi walks away from Maithili's father, gets in his car and drives off with a speed that is normally used on a highway. Avinash Khanna remains standing outside his house as he watched Adi's car vanish from his sight at which point his face displays his puzzlement.

Adi stomps on his brake as he reaches his house and storms towards the closed door. The anger he felt at himself was raging up again. He slams the door shut behind him and marches up the stairs leaving a bewildered Sharvan staring after him from the living room.
"What is going on with bhai?" the younger Mehra says as he switches the TV off.
"How am I going to face her now!"
Adi yells out loud and throws his keys on his desk. Walking further into his room, he falls backwards onto his bed and rubs his temples.
"I might as well check myself into a mental hospital. Maybe they can figure me out and fix me."
"Bhai?" a cautious Sharvan slowly opens his brother's door.
"What is it!"
Sharvan almost retreats back out the door and into a safer zone away from his cousin's anger but his curiosity pushes him into the room. He does stay a safe distance away from Adi and keeps the door open ajar to make escape easier.
"Bro, you seem upset."
Adi quits laying down and sits on his bed with his head facing the floor. Sharvan is saddened to see this state of his bhai so he forgets his fear and goes and sits down next to him.
"Come on Adi. This is not you. What happened?"
"Sharvan, I ... I don't even know how to say it," he stands up and walks over to his window.
"Bhai, just let it out in the simplest terms. No explanation or anything. Let's start there, ok?"
"I... I kissed her," he utters ever so softly but the truth was that this was the loudest he could said these words.
"What? That's it? Adi, it's not like this was your first kiss. You have kissed countless girls," he pauses, "countless times. I don't get why this is upsetting you ...'
"I kissed Maithili, okay. I kissed her. I don't know what I was doing, but the next thing I knew it was happening. It's like I couldn't stop it and I wouldn't have stopped if she hadn't pulled away. Sharvan, I'm messed up. I can't believe I just pounced on her like that."
Adi lets it all out; just like he couldn't control himself from kissing Maithili, now he can't help but tell Sharvan everything. He turns around to look at Sharvan who's eyes are wide open and jaw is on the ground.
"Your reaction is not helping."
"Um...ah...are you sure it was Maithili? I mean if it was dark you never know who your lips can end up on, trust me."
"Yes, yes, it was her yaar. You should have seen the way she looked at me. I couldn't even understand the expression on her face."
"Didn't she want to kill you and shouldn't you know that expression pretty well by now?" asks a confused Sharvan.
"No it wasn't just anger. I don't know what it was."
Sharvan starts thinking about what Adi just said.
What else could she be feeling? She couldn't possibly be...be confused because she likes Adi could she? And what about Adi?
Sharvan brings his attention back to the standing figure in the room.
"Adi, why are you so worked up about this? Just say sorry it didnt mean anything and go back to being friends or enemies or ...well whatever you were."
"Sharvan, I cant. I took something from her and she's not going to just forget that. The woman can hold grudges."
"Wait, you took something? Her purse or something? What did you take?"
Sharvan asks with genuine perplexity as Adi throws his hand on his forehead.
"Oh god, her kiss! Okay, probably her first kiss. I took that away from her. That cant be returned and I can't just rub it off like it was nothing."
"Oh! So it did mean something."
Sharvan eggs on Adi to get to the truth.
"Course it did. It means that I'm a fool, a complete fool. I was stupid to do this to her and for what, to prove a point. That's beyond pathetic."
"So you're telling me you didn't feel anything while...'it' was going on. I mean I know how you felt after it but what about during?"
"Huh?"
Adi looks at Sharvan initially with bewilderment and then realization comes.
"Are you seriously asking if I liked it?!"
Adi stomps over to him as Sharvan shallows deeply.
"No, no. I'm asking seriously...if you like her," his voice becomes thin.
"Sharvan, I don't have time for this ok. I need to figure out a way not to see Maithili tomorrow which means not going to college."
"Nice dodging," Sharvan mumbles.
"Speak louder."
"I said that shouldn't be hard. Ok bhai, I'm going to go and leave you in your thoughts."
With a speed of a cheetah, he leaves the room and runs downstairs to get his cell phone. He quickly finds the number he was looking for and calls.
"Speak!"
"Is that how you answer your phone?"
"Who are you my mom?"
"Sharvan here."
"Well Tanu here and Tanu is very mad right now."
"When arent you mad?"
"Times like these make me wish it were possible to slap someone over the phone!"
"Sorry yaar. I'm just really excited right now so I'm saying anything."
"Excited? About what?"
"I think Adi really really likes Maithili."
"Wow! That is good news."
"By the way, have you spoken to Maithili tonight?"
"Nope, she just came in, and banged her door as she went to her room. I tried talking to her but she wouldn't open the door like the brat she truly is. I should be the one angry at her but here she is acting like princess who's crown just got stolen."
"You have no idea."
"What aren't you telling me?"
"Hang on Tanu. I have another call."
Sharvan removes the phone from his ear and sees that the incoming call is from Manthan.
"Hey Manthan. How are you?"
"Feel like a dog who is being abused."
"A what?"
"Forget that. Tanu seems to think that she can do anything to me and I'm just going to stand and do nothing. Well, I've had enough. She better stop messing with me."
"Um, did you call to bash Tanu?"
"No yaar. I called to see how the Adi-Maithili plan is going? Did Adi say anything? You know that he dropped Maithili off tonight right."
"Well I figured that out. And yeah something did happen, but you know I have Tanu on the other line so can I call you bac-..."
"You have Khanna on hold! What she hasn't come over and smashed your phone over your head yet? Guess she is too lazy today."
"Exactly why do you and Tanu fight so much."
"Another day Sharvan. Just add me to the conversation. After all we are in this plan together."
"Okay, although this is against my better judgment."
"Tanu, u still there?"
"Finally Sharvan. So what were you about to say?"
"Yeah buddy what were you going to say?"
"Virani! What are you doing?"
"I'm talking on the phone. Why are you taking a shower or something? Can I see you through the phone if I try really hard."
"Stop with the lame jokes and get off the phone. Sharvan had important news about Adi and Maithili."
"My jokes are not lame; your sense of humor is lame. And hello! I am in this scheme too so I have as much right to the news as you do!"
"You duffer! Maithili is my sister and Adi is Sharvan's cousin. You dont even come close to that."
"Ha! I am good friends with both. I am in fact their only mutual friend so that shows my importance in both categories, understood missy."
"Guys, stop it!" Sharvan yells and gains the much needed silence.
"You guys can kill each other after we succeed in our plan. First, listen closely. Adi told me that he ... well he kissed Maithili. He wouldn't answer me when I asked if he liked her or not and he even said that Maithili wasn't just angry at his action but she was feeling something else too. So Tanu you need to find out what she is feeling and Manthan you need to talk to Adi about this some more from a friend's position because I think he has told me all he is going too."
An entire minute goes by with no response from either of the listeners.
"Manthan? Tanu? Hello?!"
"Oh. my. god. Dang, this is unbelievable."
"Haila, this explains di's behavior.'
"Yeah so we have to let them cool off for tonight and then tomorrow we have to talk to them and maybe arrange a face-to-face meeting, but guys Adi isnt going to go to college tomorrow because he wants to avoid Maithili at all costs."
"Bro, no worries. I will call him and figure a way to meet him. Maybe call him to play some basketball or something."
"And, I will talk to di sometime tomorrow."
"Ok good and I will try to figure out how to get them at the same place at the same time. Now, isnt this better? All of us getting along?"
'No, I still want to pull his head out."
"As if you are that strong."
"You wanna come over and let me show you my strength."
"That just sounded really dirty."
"Only to a dirty mind."
Sharvan hangs up and let's his two fellow schemers verbal judo continue.
