ππ I swear, yaarπ You'd think that the daughter of the protagonist would have a rocking love story to go with her character. But one thing I have to say is that, of all three "daughters of leads", Shruti really had the strongest character and storylines. Snehaπ€’ was just a wet-blanket, running from Bajaj to Anurag whenever she got hurt or had problems. She was useless as a standalone character - her track with Sharad (throughout the rape track) was probably the worst track I've ever seen in KZK, and to top it off, she wasn't even strong enough for me to feel sympathetic for her, no matter how much I might like Jennifer. Shobha (Tulsi;s daughter) suffered far worse - whatever happened to her?ππ I never saw any chem between her and Tulsi. In contrast, Shruti, from the word go, had the strongest relationship with Om and Paro. Even as a kid she wasn't just the "oh, she's so cute!" type kid - but she was intelligent and fiesty and had a mind of her own. And as she grew up, it only got better. Its a shame she didn't have one of those epic-type romances like Prem and Mukti or Anurag and Prerna, but I guess that any relationship with a man was just not good enough to stand next to her relationship with Om and Paro. In Shruti'[s case, men come and goππ but her relationship with her parents, Kamal chachu and Krishna was the focal point of her story.
Even now, when there are all these new characters, just the mere presence of Shruti makes a scene worthwhileπ³ - Tina and Saakshi have this wonderful chemistry and I don't know where they both get it fromπ. Saakshi doesn't have any children, yet her mamta towards Shweta Prasad's Shruti and Tina's Shruti is so believable, as if they really are mother-daughter. And Tina, well, she is around the same age as Saakshi in real life, but not for one minute does their relationship seem contrived or awkward. Whether they were each other's biggest support or at loggerheads, they never fail to impressππ
Haila vasu should I take this as a compliment for my APπ²π²π³ I thought u detest them from the core!ππ me happy nowπ
hmm well Im thinking if v can have such a sticky in kzk too? I think ppl will luv to discuss utsav kzk .I know this is TOTALLY off topic im sorry for that but i just got excitedπ
I know - much as I love Janki, she's getting far too emotionally involved and riled up too quickly. That's why I think that maybe this is all a plan - because Parvati is acting the way an enemy would want her to - she is getting too emotionally involved and not thinking rationally.
I just wish that once in a while Paro would see Pallavi not as the woman who tried to destroy them, but as the woman who loved Krishna till death, as the woman who changed her name and stayed away from the AG family for 18 years, even though she could very well have helped Trishna destroy them. (Of course, the fact that she always hated Trishna should endear her to Paro a little bit more π Pallavi was the only one who could see the real Trishna).
But Vasu...remember when Parvati had seen chotu for the first time in Pallavi's house n Pallavi had tears in her eyes as she told Parvati that they had snatched away Krishna from her and that they should let chotu stay with her at least....Well, at that point of time, Parvati didn't speak a word...In fact she felt the pain n pinch of what Pallavi said and looked down in silence realising that at least as far as Krishna was concerned, Pallavi's feelings were genuine.
I don't detest them - I prefer PRB π
Before Bajaj entered the show, I was all for AP - but once they got married, I saw that being epic lovers doesn't naturally extend to a successful marriage. Besides, PRB is hot! π
I don't know about the sticky in KZK, you'd have to ask the members if they would participate in the discussions - because we even used to have an Ep of the Day thread there for normal eps, but it wasn't very active. Here, the Ep of the Day thread is really popular, so I know that at least some people would participate in this one. If the majority of members there want thread like this, I can discuss it with Manasi and the other mods π
BTW, you ever watched Utsav Kahaani?
I think ppl will participate in utsav discussions coz utsav is really rocking , 10 yr leap is on monday I guess and no one can deny that it was the best part of kzk, APians r already excited and willing to discuss it ,I dont know abt bp fans and premikasπ
I think v should have such a sticky where all the members can participate , our forum has drastically changed , it used to be the most lively one and now v can see how boring it is! so I think this could be a way to bring it back on track .
regarding kahaani so I never watched it ,be it utsav or plus....neva felt like watching it don't know yπ
Now to gently steer the conversation back to Utsavπ³π,
6th August
Parvati decides to confront Ajay before talking to Avantika about his affair. The family celebates Avantika's birthday. Parvati tries but fails to corner Ajay and talk to him. Ajay misbehaves in the office because he wants Om to throw him out of the company. Gaurav and Kamal get into a major argument with Ajay, who acts up.
7th August
Om finds out about the fight between the brothers; he confronts Ajay, who tells him that he wants to leave the company. Babuji and Om try to dissuade him, but another argument between Gaurav and Ajay decides the matter. Ajay makes his choice to leave the company. He shouts at Avantika, telling her that if she hadn't forced him into the family business, he would not be in this situation. He tells her that Meeta will still take him back at his old job, if he went to her. In secret, Ajay smiles at the success of his plan.
Avantika goes to Gaurav and blasts him and Shilpa for the way they treated Ajay. Shruti comes to Parvati with a broken mirror, and asks her to fix it. Parvati replies that there are some things that, once broken, can never be fixed again. She sees Ajay going out, and follows him to Meeta's place, where she confronts him. Ajay begs her to understand his point of view - Meeta supported him when he was very down, and he feels that the love and support he got from her was never put forward by his family. But he says that he still loves Avantika too, and doesn't want her to get hurt. Parvati tells him that she will tell Avantika the truth. Ajay goes back to Meeta.
8th August
Avantika goes to Maaji and asks why no one loves Ajay in this family. She lists all the insults heaped on Ajay, and asks why he is being made the sacrificial lamb. She gets very agitated and keeps blaming herself for the situation that Ajay is now in. She suffers another panic attack and collapses. Parvati comes home to find out that she is in the hospital, remembers a previous simlar incident, and rushes off.
At the hospital, every one is tense when Parvati arrives. Maaji is very anxious and they calm her down. Parvati thinks that she was going to warn Avantika about the storm in her life, but how can she do that now?
Meeta fixes Ajay a drink. He is very scared of what Parvati will tell Avantika. Ajay gets a phone call from Kamal, and he is scared that Kamal knows the truth. Meeta tells him to ride out the storm. Kamal tells Ajay that Avantika has suffered another attack. Ajay rushes to the hospital. After he leaves, Meeta smiles at Avantika's condition.
Parvati asks Shilpa whether she is happy to see Avantika like this. Shilpa says that it is not all her fault. Parvati tells her that as the elder bahu, Shilpa should have managed the situation to avoid a fight, to avoid this. She requests Shilpa to avoid this topic when Avantika regains consciousness.
Ajay gets to the hospital and sees everyone staring at him. He thinks that they all know the truth. Parvati gets up and quietly tells him that she has not yet revealed the truth. The doctor tells them that Avantika is now fine, but she should not be subject to any more stress. He tells them that Avantika is pregnant. Parvati wonders what to do now. Parvati warns Ajay to stay away from Avantika and stop lying to her. Avantika wakes up, and asks what Ajay and Parvati were talking about. She says that she heard what Bhabhi said. Ajay and Parvati are shocked.
OK, now what I liked most about these three eps was Avantika's performance That scene where she gets agitated and goes into a panic attack was so real and wonderful - hats off to Sweta K π π I also liked the scene where Ajay comes to the hospital and sees all those faces staring back at him, and gets scared that they know the truth. It was to interesting to see how one's fears/worries can alter our perception - he was so guilty that in his guilt, all he saw was condemnation. I liked the way that symbolism and irony worked back in the day - the scene where Parvati tells Shruti that some things [the mirror] can't be fxed once broken, was so obviously symbolic of the breaking relationships between the AGs and specifically foreshadowing the beginning of the end for Ajay and Avantika, but the great thing was that the creatives didn't spell it out for us - having Parvati's voiceover say, "Some things can't be mended, like A/A's relationship". These days it seems as if the creatives need to make every subtlety blindingly obvious, so that was a refreshing change.
Overall in these three eps, I think Avantika was the real star - she did the most "running", so to speak, and her anger, tears and recriminations seemed heartful.
