RECAP- Monalika agrees to Aryan's proposal.

The episode starts with Monalika addressing Parvati about how she is causing her unhappiness by agreeing to this proposal and how no longer she would be able to stand besides her in the ongoing battle. Before Monalika can offer her reasons for backing out, Shruti cuts in. In a terse tone Shruti finishes for Monalika that after marrying Aryan, Monalika wants to be a good wife and stand beside her husband. Monalika smilingly agrees to that, however Shruti is not finished quite yet. She goes on of how a single soldier does not change the battle's fate. The battle is going to go on as before and if...

And if ever Monalika tries and comes in front of Parvati and her army she better WAIT and WATCH. A still moment ensues between Shruti and Monalika.

As if on cue, a strong wind makes an appearance lending a potency to Shruti's threat. Everyone in the room is startled and their gazes fall on the epic Mahabharata which is kept in the temple. Pages flutter marking the beginning of another chapter. A glance at the major players - an unhappy Parvati, battle mode Shruti, worried Shilpa and surprised Monalika.

However as the situation prolongs, Malika's demeanor changes from arrogance to worrisome. She taunts then that it seems that the environment in this house is always full of war-mongery and despair surrounding it. Here Avantika steps in to ask forgiveness for the family's unaccepting behavior towards Malika and Aryan. Malika still ruffled from the scenario then changes the topic of their talk to the likely date of engagement. At this one by one the family moves away.

The last one to leave Parvati faces the remaining sober yet revengeful Gargs.

Parvati and Om have a discussion about this out of blue situation. Om stresses that it is not that he has any hopes for a renewed relationship between Shruti and Aryan but that he cannot bear another daughter of this house going through the same phase. He thinks about Ajay and how they are causing grief to his soul by not protecting his daughter. Parvati then has her say that what can one do if somebody is so hell bent on their own destruction.

Downstairs seeing Aryan, Monalika and their baby share a family moment, Shruti experiences pangs of sadness when Shilpa consoles her.

Gunn and Parvati are reflecting on how this decision on Monalika's part is causing grief to the whole family especially Shruti, when Krishna arrives on the scene. He expectingly looks at them for some positive reaction for his part in this battle ,however Gunn brings him back to earth that he should not expect any gratefulness from them as he was the root cause of all this. A sense of purpose is reflected from his demeanor as he agrees to all what she said and then promises Gunn that their days of pain are numbered, he will be the one to give the Gargs back what they deserve.

The next day Aryan and Monalika in a relaxed mood go for shopping when they come across Om and Parvati. A softened Monalika goes to ask if they will share her happiness or not. Om agrees ,showing once again that in all times he will always stand with the children of the house in spite of their deserting him in times of need. He leaves then and following a call Aryan leaves too.

Aryan goes to find a sobbing Garima and a sad Shasha being comforted by Chavi and Parth. He goes to console Garima but no amount can comfort her loss of son. Shasha is furious about his family's state and once again vows to destroy the Agarwals. Parth steps in with his reasoning that since already the family has been suffered so much they should step back.

This statement does not go well with Shasha and he slaps Parth. Both Parth and Chavi are surprised. This time Parth does not step down and stresses of how he is their well wisher and everytime to prove his point Shasha need not subject him to such ridicule. The situation is diffused by Aryan and everyone cools down. Aryan tells Shasha to relax as his marriage with Monalika will be a big blow to Agarwals, and Parth is not quite happy about it. However for Shasha, this is not a personal attack from him so he once again begins to think of ways to hurt Agarwals.

As the elders are pondering on how this house can ever be happy when the occupants themselves cause pain, Sambhav makes an apppearance. He goes to Shruti and invites her for a meeting, but she catches his lie. Before he can speak in his defense Shruti speaks up for him. She tells him how great a friend he is and how much she appreciates his intentions of keeping her away from incidents of sadness.Then she speaks of her resolution to stay and face everything in life and he agrees to her philosophy.

The engagement day arrives, a silent alliance is formed between Malika and the Gargs as Avantika stresses on the Agarwal - Garg equations. Om and Parvati arrive on the scene too and Malika fails to keep her taunts to herself. When Om and Parvati refuse to take the bait and instead humbly ask to be a part of these celebrations, Malika welcomes them.

A message from Monalika makes Aryan go meet her. In a dark room the two players face each other. Aryan moves first by acting as an ardent suitor however monalika is still sombre. She asks him of the reason why he wants this marriage. He repeats about rectifying his mistakes but she does not buy it. She displays her insecurity about the whole situation and while banking on his love for his child, she plays the guilt card forcing him out the truth.

Aryan gives in. He tells her about his inability to father a child due to an accident after his split with Shruti and stresses that this is about a father and a child relationship and not revenge thirsty lovers. Monlika believes him and we see a look of love and understanding pass between them.Shruti who is passing by sees them embracing and is shattered.

In another part of the house a hesitant Manya goes to Krishna's room where he is lost in his thoughts. A thoughtful Krishna shows mild reaction at her sudden entrance. Despite his cool reaction, Manya approaches him the past aspirations evident in her actions. She invites him to come down for the party but Krishna refuses disinterestedly. Manya senses his distress and treads on the recent happenings in his life. This gets his attention and as Manya goes on about her affection for him, a look of longing for this affection from his family is sketched on Krishna's face. He is further touched when she tells him of his importance in her life in spite of all past events.

The emotional burst of Manya stops suddenly as she brings her cheerfulness to the fore. But Krishna is not fooled. When once again she asks him to accompany her downstairs, he refuses but only half heartedly. This time she gets hold of his hand and drags him to go with her. As they are making their way, they are surprised by Gunn. Gunn has a look of surprise on her face too, as she eyes Manya holding her husband's hand.
