God would never punish innocent villagers who prayed him all their life and believed he would save them. Yes, they were tricked , kidnapped and few of them were murdered

It was because they were scared of him and never questioned unreasonable things happening in and around the temple.They were punished because of their Karma. What wrong did they do now to be punished like this? They had no idea about the shivlings at all. On the top of it all the important people of the village are missing. How do they cope with this situation?
