Rituraj will play Ananya's father in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si
There is a new twist coming up in Ek Ladki Anjaani Si soon. Kanchi Kaul aka Ananya will meet her father. The identity of the father has so far been kept a secret. But, of course, we will reveal it to you. So, here goes: Rituraj Singh is the man.
Rituraj says, "I am coming on screen as Ananya's father, Abhinav Raheja. He has been away from home for a very long time. He is a rich businessman who stays abroad. He left his family due to some problem, which I obviously cannot reveal at the moment. But he loves his daughter and is returning to meet her. Whatever issues he had will be sorted out eventually, as the story unfolds."
The actor has just finished shooting his entry scene with the unit of Ek Ladki Anjaani Si. "This is the first time I am working with Kanchi, and she is a fabulous actress. I think, I will have great time with this team," he says.
Misha Gautam, creative head and producer of Ek Ladki… says, "The story is about Nikhil (Shakti Anand) and Ananya, but her father will add a new angle to the plot. From the very first episode, we have shown Meera (Ananya's mother) as a single mother. There were scenes, when the mother has told her daughter to sell off the manglasutra as it is no longer useful to her. We have given hints that she had a turbulent married life. But we have never revealed the name of her husband. Rituraj is a veteran actor and I am sure he will be a value addition to the cast."
"The serial will show some new twists with the entry of Rituraj and it will definitely improve the TRP of the show. He is a good actor. And, of course, I am happy that I have got my father back on screen," says Kanchi with a smile.
