I have already posted my views but i couldnt resist adding these few points which i was thinking over the night. I guess,
having so many talented dancers at hand is not easy for the judges either. and they got a little confused as to whom to keep and whom to
throw out, resulting int he unfortunate ousting of many deserving contestants. I noticed a few anomaly and I hope in the comiing episodes, there will remain a
basic standard for judging.
first of all, the contestants were said to be divided according to their strength, then how come some contestants like aparna have to perform outside their comfort
zone? and then they get a lecture on how they have to assimilate all the dance styles? shouldnt rules be same for everyone out there?
if the contestants are performing within their comfort zone, but starts making mistakes, the moment they take a minute step towards other dance styles, why some of them are spared while
others are not? case in point again: mehr and aparna.
that is why, they should have given common choreography to all, and in different dance styles. its like exams in school, where until u reach a certain standard,
u have to appear for all the papers, no matter how u hate one, or love other or not good at some other. without a common judging platform, how can they choose?
when the contestants are performing within their comfort zone, why is it, some dancers who chose to potray finer tecniques are not considered that good? if u have
trained and perfected a tecnique over the years, should u also not show it, granted u need emotions too, but while reading good books, do we only look
at the content and the author's heart there? if such a book, rife with grammatical errors come out, would we go and buy it? for example mayuri, she had
flawless tecnique and also adequate emotions, what she lacked was maybe energy.
almost all the contestants who are older than 25 have been ousted, case in point, bhavini(te amo group, i thought she was the best in the group)
suchana, namita, subhas, dinanath, why bother choosing them all if u have an invisible age bar?better make it visible so that such people donot enter.
About trishala, lets hope, she improves and proves all of us wrong, but why do i have this feeling that she might be related to some one on the show and hence was
retained? she is quite average IMHO.
As rainy.days said about pimping, well its quite common in all reality shows, they bank on one star, show their lifes tory, sob story, its all business.
besides as amazing VM is as a judge, i ahve observed she has a little bit favouritism and holds grudges. if u hav followed zara nachke dikha2, you would know what
i am talking about. Farha comes off as quite in your face, no nonsense person, but they r all humans, they all are prone to some favouritism at
some point or other. we all would.
Still, i have immense hope on the judges and the experct choreographers. I hope those who have not been selected goes miles ahead with their life and those who
r in the show, achive all the success they hoped for
btw the episode was rife with edit errors, small example: karan's age was shown 19, when he himself said during Uk audition that he is 23. I am not sure,if i saw
it during epi, but in the promo video, sohail was shown doing bharatnatyam, in which world is that bharatnatyam? i was thinking more of balletnatyam.
