Divya Pal, TNN | Apr 16, 2011, 12.00am ISTFarah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant
Both Farah Khan and Vaibhavi Merchant showed their support to " Just Dance" aspirants when they attended the show's auditions in Delhi recently.
And, the count of the contestants who tried their luck at the auditions went up to over 10,000. With all the participants intent on proving their mettle, it was a tough job to shortlist them. For Amit, who had come from Orissa, appearing for the competition and getting selected was the way to make it big and support his family. "My parents wouldn't have allowed me come to the city had I not got this opportunity. If I don't get selected I'll look for another job here."
Farah, made sure that the mediapersons were at ease."Hum khade rahein, kya photos ke liye? Ok, koi in chairs ko hata do," she was heard instructing. And as the session proceeded, Farah asked if the journos were fine with responses in Hindi/English. "Achcha Hinglish is ok!" Trying to duck a question, she instead said, "Aap logon ne khana khaya?"
Even though Hrithik Roshan wasn't present, Vaiabhavi did a jig to make sure not many missed him. "Taidang Taidang," she crooned as she copied Hrithik's steps from "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai" Vaibhavi went on to say, "Majority of the contestants have been doing this one step to impress us. It has become quite a hit with them." Following the footsteps of a star?
