Tell us something about your character in Jugni Chali Jalandhar.
I play 30-year-old Maninder Bhalla, who tries to appear sophisticated but is actually a little rustic and dim-witted. He wants to do something different in life, so keeps trying his luck in various businesses.

Are you an actor first or a dancer?
I'm basically an actor but my dancing skills have always overshadowed my acting skills. After Nach Baliye, people decided I was a good dancer. Now they know I can act too.

Rakhi maintained that she was the key factor behind your success. How true is this?
No, it's not like that at all. People appreciate me because of my work and not because of the fact that I was her alter ego at a certain point of time. My talent and confidence are behind my success.

What projects are you looking forward to now?
I've got some offers that I don't want to disclose, all I can say is that there are things happening. I want to be an action hero like Akshay Kumar.

What do you love about being a celeb?
Since childhood, I wanted to be famous and, with God's grace, I have achieved it to some extent. People love and appreciate me. Other than this, the VIP treatment I get at public places makes me feel quite good.

Who is your biggest strength?
My mother, because she has always stood by me.

What is your dressing style and who's your favourite designer?
I wear whatever I like. I believe that whatever you wear, you should know how to carry it off well. I really like Vikram Phadnis' designs.

You own a Honda CRV and a Chopper bike ... which do you prefer?
I love driving my Chopper.

Any chances of getting back together with Rakhi?
Everything is over now. There's no hope or scope of going back. I have moved ahead in life and don't want to look back.

What kind of girl are you looking for?
I'm looking for a simple yet beautiful girl with good dressing sense. She should know how to carry herself well. She should also be loving, caring and understanding... I'm looking for someone like Kareena Kapoor in Jab We Met.
