Author's Note-

Hey everyone! I’m back with another piece of my writing- a oneshot that came to life when I was studying physics (definitely not the most thrilling) and I really GET IT if you don't like this story a bit or find it very dull and boring. Writing and reading are my favorite escapes, so I wrote it .. and I hope you enjoy this story!

For a change, instead of Jodha’s parents nagging her about marriage, it’s Jalal’s parents who take center stage. Bharat badal raha hai, right? 😂 (blooper?)

I really hope you find it entertaining, but if it doesn't quite hit the mark, that's okay too. Please feel free to leave likes or comments if you enjoy it. This is just something to pass the time, and all constructive criticism is welcome.

Happy reading!

In the Shadow of Blueprints

1: The First Encounter

Jodha stood outside the impressive glass building of “Elite Constructions,” her heart racing with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Today was her first day as a marketing intern, and she was determined to make a good impression. The towering structure reflected the morning sun, a symbol of the ambitious company she had dreamed of joining. The vibrant city buzzed around her, the sounds of honking cars and chattering pedestrians blending into a symphony of modern life.

“Get it together, Jodha,” she muttered to herself, adjusting her scarf and taking a deep breath. The world of corporate marketing was daunting, especially in a place renowned for its competitive atmosphere. But Jodha was fueled by her passion and the hope of proving herself, not just to her colleagues but to herself.

As she stepped inside, the hustle and bustle of the office enveloped her. Employees hurried past, their faces focused and serious. Jodha clutched her bag tightly, navigating through the maze of cubicles until she reached the reception desk.

“Welcome to Elite Construction! How can I assist you?” the receptionist asked, her smile warm and inviting.

“I’m Jodha Sharma, the new intern. I’m here to meet Mr. Jalal Mohammad,” Jodha replied, trying to sound confident despite her nerves.

“Ah, yes! Right this way. He’s expecting you,” the receptionist said, leading her down a sleek hallway lined with contemporary artwork and photos of impressive construction projects. Jodha’s eyes widened at the stunning displays of innovation; they were reminders of the excellence that defined the company.

Jodha’s heart raced as they approached a large glass door. “Here we are. Good luck!” The receptionist smiled before walking away, leaving Jodha standing in front of the door.

Gathering her courage, Jodha knocked lightly before entering. The sight before her took her breath away. Jalal was sitting behind a modern desk, his sharp features illuminated by the afternoon light streaming through the window. He exuded a powerful presence, his dark eyes focused intently on a set of blueprints sprawled across the desk.

“Jodha Sharma?” he asked, glancing up briefly before returning to his documents. His tone was brisk, yet there was an undercurrent of curiosity.

“Yes, sir,” she replied, trying to mask her nervousness.

He finally looked at her, his expression unreadable. “Take a seat.”

Jodha sat down, her palms sweaty as she tried to maintain eye contact. “Thank you for this opportunity. I’m excited to be here and learn from you.”

Jalal raised an eyebrow, his lips twitching in what might have been the start of a smirk. “Excited? Most interns are just trying to survive their first week.”

Jodha felt a flash of irritation. “I’m not like most interns,” she replied, surprising herself with her boldness.

His gaze sharpened, and the room seemed to fill with tension. “We’ll see about that. This is a demanding environment. You’ll need to keep up.”

“I'm ready for the challenge,” Jodha said firmly, her determination unwavering.

He studied her for a moment, and she held her breath, unsure of what he would say next. “Good. Let’s see if you can back that up. You’ll be assisting me on the upcoming project launch.”

Relief washed over her. “Thank you, sir. I won’t disappoint you.”

“Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Jodha,” he replied, a hint of amusement in his voice. “Welcome aboard.”

2: Tensions Rise

As the days turned into weeks, Jodha quickly learned that working with Jalal was no easy task. He was a perfectionist, pushing everyone around him to their limits. While his brilliance was undeniable, so was his intensity. Jodha often found herself at the receiving end of his sharp critiques.

“Jodha, this marketing strategy is lacking depth. Did you even research the target demographic?” Jalal said one afternoon, his voice clipped as he reviewed her proposal. His dark eyes were piercing, making her feel small under his scrutiny.

“I did, but I thought the creative angle was more important,” Jodha replied, trying to defend her work. She could feel the heat rising in her cheeks.

“Creative angles are useless if they don’t resonate with the audience. Focus on the fundamentals,” he snapped, turning back to his blueprints.

Jodha felt a surge of frustration. “I understand your point, but creativity is also essential in marketing. We need to stand out.”

Jalal’s gaze snapped back to her, surprise flickering in his eyes. “You’re bold. I’ll give you that. But boldness without substance is just noise.”

“Maybe, but it’s also what makes people remember a brand,” Jodha countered, her heart racing.

His expression softened slightly, but he quickly masked it. “You have potential, but don’t let your passion cloud your judgment.”

She gritted her teeth, holding back a retort. “Understood, sir.”

As the days went by, their dynamic shifted from mere tension to something more complex. They often found themselves in heated debates, each unwilling to back down. Yet, amidst the arguments, Jodha couldn’t deny that there was a spark between them—a tension that simmered just beneath the surface.

3: A Night Out

One Friday evening, Jodha’s coworkers decided to celebrate a successful project launch. The team headed to a trendy restaurant downtown, the atmosphere buzzing with energy and laughter. Jodha hesitated, wondering if she should attend. But Anika, her best friend and fellow intern, nudged her.

“Come on, Jodha! You need to unwind. Plus, it’ll be fun to see Mr. Jalal outside of work,” Anika teased, winking mischievously.

“Fun? I don’t think he knows how to have fun,” Jodha replied, rolling her eyes.

“Exactly! This is your chance to see if there’s more to him than just a bossy boss,” Anika said, grinning.

With a reluctant sigh, Jodha agreed. They arrived at the restaurant, the warm glow of string lights creating an inviting ambiance. As they settled at a table, Jodha spotted Jalal across the room, his demeanor relaxed for the first time she had seen. He was laughing with a few colleagues, his charm radiating in a way that disarmed her.

“Look at him, all relaxed,” Anika whispered, nudging Jodha playfully. “Who knew he could smile?”

Jodha couldn’t help but smile back. Maybe there was more to Jalal than she had realized.

After a few drinks, the atmosphere shifted, laughter echoing as they toasted to their success. Jodha found herself seated next to Jalal, who had just joined the table.

“Enjoying the festivities, Jodha?” he asked, a teasing lilt in his voice.

“I suppose,” she replied, attempting to maintain her composure. “Though I’m still not sure how you let loose.”

“Letting loose is overrated. I prefer focus,” he said, but his eyes glinted with mischief.

“Is that your way of saying you don’t have fun?” Jodha challenged, raising an eyebrow.

“Fun is subjective. I work hard, and I expect the same from my team,” he replied, taking a sip of his drink.

“Maybe you should try to enjoy yourself a little,” Jodha suggested, feeling emboldened by the atmosphere. “Life is too short to be all about work.”

Jalal studied her for a moment, a hint of admiration creeping into his gaze. “Maybe you’re right. But someone has to keep the standards high.”

“True. But who says you can’t have high standards and enjoy life?” she countered.

He smirked, the tension between them shifting. “You’re persistent, I’ll give you that.”

As the night wore on, Jodha felt the walls between them begin to crumble. They shared stories and laughter, the playful banter taking on a lighter tone. It was a glimpse into a side of Jalal she hadn’t expected to see.

“Tell me something about yourself that I wouldn’t know from work,” Jalal prompted, his expression earnest.

“I’m an artist at heart,” Jodha replied, feeling a sense of freedom in sharing. “I paint in my spare time. It’s my escape.”

“Really? I’d love to see your work sometime,” he said, genuinely intrigued.

Jodha felt a warmth spread through her. “I’d like that.”

As they continued to talk, Jodha realized she was beginning to enjoy Jalal’s company. He was passionate about his work, but there was a vulnerability beneath the surface that intrigued her.

4: An Unexpected Partnership

Back at the office, Jodha’s perspective on Jalal began to change. He was still demanding and intense, but she started to see the passion behind his drive. As they continued to work closely on various projects, their arguments morphed into debates filled with respect and camaraderie.

One afternoon, as they were brainstorming for a new project, Jodha suggested an unconventional approach. “What if we incorporate a social cause into our branding? Something that resonates with our audience on a deeper level?”

Jalal paused, contemplating her idea. “That could work. But we need to ensure it aligns with our brand identity. We can’t stray too far.”

“Of course! But think about the impact we could make. People want to connect with brands that stand for something,” Jodha replied passionately.

Jalal leaned back in his chair, a thoughtful expression on his face. “You’re right. It could differentiate us in a crowded market.”

Their eyes met, and for a moment, the air crackled with possibility. “Let’s explore it further,” he said, a smile breaking through his usual seriousness. “I like the direction you’re taking.”

Jodha felt a rush of satisfaction at his approval. “Thank you, Jalal. I think we can create something truly meaningful together.”

As they delved deeper into the project, they spent long hours in the office, bouncing ideas off one another and refining their approach. The late nights were filled with laughter, coffee runs, and a shared sense of purpose that began to blur the lines between professionalism and friendship.

5: Moments of Connection

As their working relationship blossomed, so did their personal connection. Jalal began to open up, sharing snippets of his life outside of work. One evening, as they sat in the office after hours, he spoke about his childhood.

“I grew up in a family that expected perfection. My father built this company from the ground up, and there was never any room for failure,” he confessed, his voice tinged with vulnerability. “I’ve always felt the weight of those expectations.”

Jodha listened intently, her heart aching for him. “That sounds incredibly difficult. No wonder you push yourself so hard.”

“It’s all I know,” he replied, his gaze distant. “But I don’t want to be just my father’s shadow. I want to create my own legacy.”

“You’re doing that,” Jodha assured him. “You’ve built something incredible. And you’re not just a boss; you’re a mentor. You inspire people to push their boundaries.”

He turned to her, a flicker of appreciation in his eyes. “Thank you for saying that. It’s easy to forget the impact we can have on others.”

Jodha smiled softly, feeling a warmth spread between them. “You’re not alone in this, you know. You have a team that believes in you.”

In that moment, they both recognized the connection forming between them. It was a delicate balance of friendship and something deeper, and they both felt it.

6: The Turning Point

As weeks passed, the project they had been working on was set to launch soon. The anticipation in the office was palpable, and the atmosphere crackled with energy. Jodha found herself drawn to Jalal more than ever, her heart racing whenever they were near each other.

One evening, as they were preparing for the final presentation, Jalal’s phone buzzed with a message. He glanced at it, his expression darkening. “I need to take this,” he said, stepping outside the office.

Jodha watched him go, a sense of concern gnawing at her. A few minutes later, he returned, looking troubled. “Everything okay?” she asked, her voice gentle.

“My father. He’s pushing me to take a more traditional role in the company, to settle down,” he admitted, running a hand through his hair in frustration.

“I’m sorry. That must be a lot to handle,” Jodha replied, her heart aching for him.

“It is. I feel like I’m being pulled in two directions. I love what I do, but they want me to conform to their expectations,” he said, his voice strained.

“Jalal, you deserve to follow your own path. You can’t let their expectations dictate your life,” Jodha urged, her eyes earnest.

He looked at her, a mix of gratitude and conflict in his gaze. “It’s hard to stand up to them, especially when they’ve sacrificed so much for me.”

“I understand. But your happiness matters too. You shouldn’t have to choose between love and ambition,” she said, her voice steady.

Jalal nodded, visibly torn. “I appreciate your support, Jodha. You always know what to say.”

In that moment, she felt a rush of emotions- compassion, admiration, and something deeper. The air between them shifted, charged with unspoken words.

7: The Catalyst

As the project launch day approached, Jodha could sense the tension between Jalal and his family reaching a boiling point. The night before the launch, Jalal called her to meet him at a nearby cafe.

“Thanks for coming,” he said, his expression grave as he slid into the booth across from her. “I needed to talk to you.”

“What’s going on?” Jodha asked, concern etched on her face.

“My father was relentless today. He insisted I reconsider my role at the company, and he brought up potential marriage proposals,” Jalal confessed, his voice filled with frustration.

Jodha’s heart sank. “I’m so sorry. That’s a lot to deal with.”

“It feels like I’m suffocating under their expectations,” he admitted, running a hand through his hair. “I don’t want to lose myself in the process.”

“Then don’t,” Jodha said firmly. “You have the power to carve your own path. Don’t let anyone take that away from you.”

He looked at her, his eyes searching hers. “You make it sound easy.”

“It’s not. But you deserve to live authentically. You have so much to offer,” Jodha said, her voice filled with conviction.

In that moment, Jalal leaned forward, their faces inches apart. “You believe in me, don’t you?”

“Of course I do. You’re capable of amazing things, Jalal,” she replied, her heart racing.

Without thinking, she reached out and placed her hand over his. The warmth of his skin sent a shiver through her, and she felt a rush of emotions flood over her.

In that electric moment, Jalal’s gaze softened, and he leaned closer. “You inspire me, Jodha. More than anyone else.”

Before she could respond, Jalal’s lips brushed against hers in a tentative kiss, sending her heart into a frenzy. It was a mix of sweetness and urgency, a culmination of all the tension that had built between them. When they pulled away, both breathless, Jodha’s mind raced.

“What?” she whispered, her cheeks flushed.

“Yeah,” Jalal said, a smile breaking through his serious demeanor. “That was... unexpected.”

“Good unexpected, I hope,” Jodha replied, her voice teasing.

“Definitely good,” he said, his eyes sparkling. “But we need to focus on the launch tomorrow.”

“Right, the launch,” Jodha said, her heart still racing. “But we’ll talk about this later?”

“Absolutely,” Jalal replied, a look of determination crossing his face.

8: The Launch

The day of the launch dawned bright and clear, the anticipation palpable in the air. Jodha arrived at the venue early, her nerves tingling with excitement. She and Jalal had spent the night preparing, their connection deepening with each moment.

As guests began to arrive, Jodha felt a surge of pride. The campaign they had created together was about to come to life. When Jalal walked in, his presence was commanding, confidence radiating from him.

“You ready?” he asked, his expression serious but with a hint of excitement.

“Absolutely. We’ve got this,” Jodha replied, feeling a surge of adrenaline.

As they took the stage, Jodha felt the familiar rush of nerves, but Jalal’s presence anchored her. They presented their vision with passion, their energy contagious. The audience was captivated, nodding along as they shared their innovative approach.

When they finished, the applause echoed in the room, and Jodha’s heart soared. Jalal turned to her, a wide grin breaking across his face. “We did it!”

Jodha laughed, exhilarated. “I can’t believe how well it went!”

Just then, Jalal’s father approached, a certain look on his face that they couldn't quite fathom. Jodha’s heart raced as she watched Jalal tense up.

“Jalal, that was impressive,” his father said.

Jalal’s expression softened, "Thanks Abbu"

His father raised an eyebrow, he asked looking at Jodha. “And you are?”

“Jodha,” she replied, smiling sweetly. “I’m a marketing intern. Joined few months back!"

His father regarded her for a moment, his expression shifting from skepticism to curiosity. “Interesting. It seems you have quite the spirit.”

“Thank you, sir,” Jodha said, feeling Jalal’s proud gaze on her.

As they walked away, Jalal turned to her, a grin breaking across his face. “You were incredible back there.”

“I was really nervous, Jalal, but I decided to just go with the flow, by being me” Jodha said, shaking her head.

“That’s what I admire about you,” he said, his voice sincere.

“It’s one of the things I respect about you too" she said softly, her gaze locking with his.

9: Navigating the Challenges

In the days following the launch, Jodha and Jalal’s relationship deepened, but so did the challenges. Jalal faced increasing pressure from his family regarding his future, while Jodha navigated her own aspirations within the company.

One evening, as they were working late, Jalal’s phone buzzed. He glanced at it, his expression darkening. “It’s my father again. He wants to meet me. Same boring proposals again.”

Jodha felt a knot form in her stomach. “Are you going to go?”

“I have to. But I dread the conversation,” he replied, frustration evident in his voice.

“You shouldn’t have to choose between your dreams and your family,” Jodha said gently.

“I know. But I’m torn,” Jalal admitted, running a hand through his hair. “I love what I do, but they want me to conform to their vision.”

Jodha stepped closer, placing a reassuring hand on his arm. “You deserve to pursue your own dreams. Don’t lose sight of who you are.”

Jalal met her gaze, gratitude flickering in his eyes. “Thank you for always supporting me. It means more than you know.”

As they stood there, the air thick with unspoken emotions, Jodha felt a surge of affection for him. “You’re not alone in this, Jalal. I’ll be here, no matter what.”

He smiled, and for a moment, the weight of his worries seemed to lift. “You make it easier to face everything.”

10: A Heartfelt Confession

As the weeks went by, Jodha and Jalal grew closer, their bond strengthening through shared challenges and triumphs. One evening, after a particularly long day at work, they found themselves sitting on a park bench, the city lights twinkling in the distance.

“Can you believe how far we’ve come?” Jalal said, a hint of awe in his voice.

“It’s been a wild ride,” Jodha replied, her heart full. “But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”

Jalal turned to her, his expression serious. “I need to tell you something.”

“What is it?” Jodha asked, her heart racing.

“I’ve been thinking about my future, about what I truly want. And it’s not just about the company or my family’s expectations,” he said, taking a deep breath. “It’s about being happy, and you make me happy, Jodha.”

Her heart soared at his words. “Jalal, I—”

He interrupted her, his voice earnest. “No, let me finish. You said that day we need to talk about this right? Before the launch.. So let me complete Jo. I’ve realized that I don’t want to face any of this without you by my side. I want you to be a part of my life, not just as a boss or friend, but as something more.”

Jodha’s breath caught in her throat, emotions swirling within her. “I feel the same way. You’ve changed my life in ways I never imagined.”

“Then let’s embrace this together,” he said, his eyes searching hers. “I want to build a future with you.”

Overwhelmed, Jodha felt tears prick at her eyes. “I want that too, Jalal. More than anything.”

He leaned in, capturing her lips with his in a tender kiss that ignited a fire within her. In that moment, Jodha knew they were ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead --together.

11: Facing the Family

As their relationship blossomed, they both knew they had to face Jalal’s family. One evening, he invited her to join him for dinner with his parents, his expression a mix of excitement and anxiety.

“Are you sure about this?” Jodha asked, her heart racing.

“I have to be honest with them. I don’t want to hide you,” Jalal replied, determination in his voice.

As they arrived at his family’s lavish home, Jodha felt a wave of nerves wash over her. Jalal took her hand, squeezing it reassuringly. “No matter what happens, I’m with you.”

They entered the dining room, where Jalal’s parents were already seated. The atmosphere was tense, and Jodha could sense the scrutiny in their gazes.

“Jalal, it’s good to see you,” his mother said, her tone warm but cautious. “And you must be Jodha. We’ve heard quite a bit about you.”

“Thank you for having me,” Jodha replied, her voice steady despite her nerves.

As dinner progressed, Jalal’s father steered the conversation toward Jalal’s future. “So, son, have you thought more about settling down? We have some excellent matches in mind for you.”

Jalal’s expression hardened. “I appreciate your concern, but I want to chart my own path. And I’m happy with Jodha.”

His mother raised an eyebrow, surprised. “Jodha? You’re serious about this?”

“Yes, I am,” Jalal replied, his voice firm. “Jodha challenges me in the best ways. She inspires me to be better.”

Jodha felt a swell of pride at his words. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Jalal, and I truly care about him.”

His father’s expression softened slightly. “You do realize the weight of our expectations?”

“I do, sir. But I believe in following my passion,” Jodha said, meeting his gaze steadily. “And I believe Jalal deserves the chance to do the same.”

The room fell silent, the tension thick in the air. Jalal’s father exchanged glances with his wife, a flicker of contemplation crossing his face.

After a moment, he spoke. “We appreciate your honesty, Jodha. If Jalal feels this strongly, then we’ll support him in his choices.”

Relief flooded over Jodha, and she exchanged a glance with Jalal, who looked equally relieved. “Thank you for understanding,” Jalal said, gratitude evident in his voice.

12: A Future Together

In the months that followed, Jodha and Jalal navigated their careers and relationship with newfound strength. They faced challenges together, their bond growing deeper as they supported one another.

One sunny afternoon, they found themselves at Jodha’s house .. in her room, surrounded by her vibrant paintings. “I can’t believe you created all of this, what the hell are you even doing at Elite Jo ... you should exhibit your work” Jalal said, admiration shining in his eyes.

“This is where I find my peace, It’s my escape.” Jodha replied, her heart swelling with pride. “And exhibition? Other time Jalal...I'm very much happy with my job.” She brushed it off.

He stepped closer, observing her work. “You have such a unique perspective. I love how you capture emotion"

“Thank you. It’s my way of expressing myself,” she said, feeling vulnerable yet cherished.

As they stood amidst the colors, Jalal took her hands in his. “I want to create something beautiful with you—our future.”

Jodha felt a rush of joy at his words. “I want that too. More than anything.”

He leaned in, their foreheads touching. “Let’s build a life filled with love, passion, and creativity.”

“I can’t wait,” Jodha whispered, her heart brimming with hope.

13: Embracing the Journey

As Jodha and Jalal embarked on their journey together, they learned to embrace both the challenges and joys that life brought their way. Their relationship was a testament to the power of love, ambition, and authenticity.

Months later, standing hand in hand at an art exhibition showcasing Jodha’s work, Jalal’s parents had embraced their relationship, and the couple had navigated the complexities of their respective careers with grace.

“Look at this!” Jalal exclaimed, pointing to one of Jodha’s pieces. “It’s incredible how you captured the essence of our journey.”

Jodha beamed, feeling a rush of pride. “Thank you for always believing in me.”

As they shared the evening with friends and family, Jodha felt a deep sense of fulfillment. Their love had flourished amidst the challenges, transforming from tension to friendship and ultimately into a bond that was unbreakable.

In each other, they had found not only love but also a partnership that inspired growth and creativity. Together, they were ready to embrace the future, hand in hand, heart to heart.

14: A Promise in Bloom

The day of Jodha and Jalal's wedding dawned with an air of excitement that buzzed through the place. Vibrant marigolds lined the pathways, their bright colors echoing the joy that filled the atmosphere. As the sun rose, casting a warm glow over everything, Jodha stood behind her bridal room, her heart racing with a mix of anticipation and nerves.

Dressed in a stunning red lehenga that flowed around her like a gentle wave, she felt the weight of the intricate gold embroidery -- each stitch a reminder of the love and tradition woven into this moment. Her mother had meticulously adorned her with jewels, from shimmering bangles to an ornate maang tikka that glittered against her forehead. Jodha couldn’t help but smile at her reflection, feeling like a bride from a fairytale.

“Are you ready, Jodha?” her sister’s voice broke through her thoughts, pulling her back to the present.

“Not even close,” she laughed, trying to ease the tension in her chest. But the truth was, she was ready -- ready to embrace the adventure that awaited her with Jalal.

Outside, the sound of a distant dhol reverberated, growing louder as Jalal’s baraat approached. Jodha’s heart fluttered. Jalal, her love, was on his way. Clad in a regal cream sherwani adorned with gold accents, he was every bit like a king. She could already picture his charming smile and the way his eyes sparkled with mischief and warmth.

The air was thick with the fragrance of flowers and the sweet notes of celebration. Jodha's breath caught in her throat as their eyes met across the courtyard.

For a moment, everything faded -- the laughter, the music, the crowd. It was just the two of them, locked in a gaze that spoke of promises and a shared future. He dismounted gracefully, his eyes never leaving hers, and as he approached, a broad smile broke across his face.

“You look incredible,” he whispered, his voice low and sincere.

“And you look like trouble,” she teased back, feeling giddy. He laughed.

As the ceremony commenced, they were led to the beautifully decorated mandap, draped in colorful silk and adorned with flowers. The priest’s chants filled the air, ancient and reverent, weaving a tapestry of tradition that felt both profound and personal. Jodha and Jalal exchanged garlands, the jaimala—a simple act that carried the weight of their love and commitment.

With each ritual, they felt the energy around them shift. The exchange of vows-- the Saptapadi --was filled with emotion. As they took their seven sacred steps together, each promise resonated in their hearts.

With each vow, they created a world that was just theirs, a foundation built on trust and understanding. The laughter of their families, the music, the scents of the feast -- it all blended into a beautiful backdrop for their love story.

As the rituals drew to a close, the celebration began in earnest. Friends and family swarmed them, and soon, Jodha found herself pulled into the festivities.

Later, they shared their first meal together, a delicious spread of traditional dishes. Jalal, with a playful grin, filled her plate, insisting she try everything. “You have to keep your strength up for this journey,” he joked, making her laugh.

Between bites, they stole glances at each other, the warmth of their connection enveloping them like a cozy blanket. “I can’t believe we’re actually married,” Jodha said, her voice soft with wonder.

“Believe it,” Jalal replied, a twinkle in his eye. “This is just the beginning.”

As the night wore on, they stepped away from the crowd, seeking a moment for themselves. Outside, the moon hung low, illuminating the garden with a silvery glow. They stood close, hand in hand, sharing a comfortable silence.

“Let’s make a promise,” Jalal said, turning to face her. “To always be each other’s home, no matter what life throws our way.”

“I promise,” Jodha whispered, feeling the weight of those words. The sincerity in his gaze made her heart swell with love.

With a gentle tug, he pulled her closer and kissed her -- soft and sweet, igniting a spark that sent butterflies dancing in her stomach. In that moment, they knew they were ready for whatever came next, together.

As night approached, they returned to the celebration, hand in hand, ready to embrace the future. The wedding wasn’t just a culmination of traditions; it was a fresh start, a new chapter filled with laughter, love, and the promise of forever.
