Selvi loved the gif!! So crystal clear! πŸ˜ƒπŸ‘

From its glacial abode down comes the tumbling cascade,
Snowy peaks bid adieu to the milky fall after trying to persuade-
For it to stay back with the childhood friends in the tall ranges,
But the cataract gushes out gurglingly without any plan changes!
Across the layers of steps, descending the mountain, it flows to its fate,
Passing greenery and cities, it flows to the sea, leaving a story to narrate!

Trampling feet and screams grew monotonous
The injured soldier tried to ignore the pain that was so venomous

He made a decision for himself
If he was to survive he'd have to help himself
Nobody was going to come to his aid
Not when each one was looking out for their own head.

He winced in pain as he got to his feet
He wouldn't give up now, not when he still had an errand to meet
His shoulder cried out to him in vain
He had already chose to ignore the pain.

He took his spirits up
He adjusted his helmet and refused to give up
He would keep fighting till the war is over
Each soldier fighting for their country, their home and their master

It's the choices we make
And the chances we take
That set us apart
Only when, of course, the decision is made from the heart.

Good Evening P'amma - Wow A lovely tribute to the " Injured Soldier" and that last few lines upstaged the rest. Those who say that soldiers have to be heartless to do what they do will need to walk a mile in their shoe to know what it takes to be one. πŸ‘ πŸ‘

Your haiku very aptly summed up the mood of the thread.!!

Lana - TFS for the pic's you posted from Anindita in the last thread & the in depth write up on Shehzade / AMK. A dark character always has many shades and they always camouflage the lighter shades they possess and rarely let them show up. You brought out some of if from both of them. πŸ‘πŸΌ

Hi Lashy,

My name is Rekha, live in New York. I am a big fan of your novel NJAPA. I stopped coming to the forum for a while until 3 months ago I stumbled upon HBAS! I have no words to describe how beautiful the novel is. You are one hell of a writer! Blessed with creativity. I got hooked to the story and read 38 chapters in 3 days! And have read them many times over.

A beautiful love story of AMK and Heera, they are made for each other, they deserve each other, they are the yin and the yang. They have become a team now to face the challenges of the world.

I have yet to catch up and understand the conversations on these threads and the people, will do so gradually.

Please keep us entertained by your magical writing! Also I love all the pictures, especially from the last 5 chapters.

Hi Rekha - At last glad to know your name & to see you were able to get your post in the thread. Not sure if you got my PM. Welcome to HBAS and looks like we are practically neighbours eh? πŸ˜‰ . I live in Toronto, Canada. Looking forward to see you around. 😊

Lashy - The pic is so harrowing and brings a 'gasp' on first look. !!! πŸ‘πŸΌ πŸ‘

Really? Those were my first thoughts too. A man almost defeated by pain - his shoulders heavier than stone from the weight of the momentous 'responsibilities'' they carried. His face exhausted like a wilted stem - ebbing in and out of consciousness. His horse stationary - maybe from its rider having forgotten to nudge it on, or possibly from him unable to even do so. It's dark, the forests are unforgiving and he's miles away from the nearest help.
Yet there is one flicker of hope, around his face and chest alone - a fire that keeps him going. A fire to keep alive his mates, his only family. A fire to keep alive the many innocent children of Parnagarh. A fire to keep alive the Sahib if not for whom, he would've never known that it took a true man to carry such momentous responsibilities with pride.

Beautiful Periyamma!!!! Too deep to describe in a few words!
And Vathsy's reply to this was so hard-hitting too!πŸ‘
