As the confident and powerful Maham Anga, foster mother of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, Jaya is ready to deliver a power packed performance!
Bharat ka Veer Putra - Maharana Pratap onSony TV is all set to show the track of Mughal Emperor Akbar and his story is incomplete without the mention of Maham Anga - his foster mother who took care of him completely through his growing up years since his own real mother was away most of the time to be with his father Humayun who was in exile. Playing this important character is veteran actress Jaya Bhattacharya who is noted for her performance packed roles.
Currently the Zee TV show, Jodha Akbar too is depicting the character played b Ashwini Kalsekar. Will there be any difference in the portrayal of Maham Anga in Maharana Pratap? "History cannot be changed so the character is the same however in Maharana Pratap we will be showing the influence of Maham Anga since Akbar's teenage years whereas in the other show they have shown him getting the throne and power so there the conflict has already started.
