That is an option if we get the OG Ani and he has the same chemistry with the new girl.as he has with Jhanak. He has zero chemistry with Arshi..... She looks like his older sister who is always bullying him.
A pairing like Runak does not come along often.
In Imlie FK and Sumbul were fantastic...but neither perform as well as they did in Imlie in their new shows. We fall in love with the character and appreciate the actor who makes it happen. Krushal is fantastic as Ani because Leena shaped his character beautifully and Krushal nailed it. Even a fantastic actor like Ani cannot make a show successful on his own merit, the ML, FL acting, director, screenplay, writing, supporting cast all have to come together for a good show. I would not be wishing an achi aurat for Ani just yet....you may not get anything like Runak. Each phase of Runak is nice to see. I would not mind seeing Krushal play the rejected and repenting Ani. he will nail it.
I do want J to move on for a bit. All the insults he and his family dealt her; audience needs recovery time and a whole lot of redemption to accept Runak back. They let Ani get away with a lot of things without showing any reason or remorse from his side...he needs to take inventory of all the things he did and see where he did wrong - starting from seducing J in kashmir to cheating Arshi with performance; jalofy incident to asking her to lose and calling his baby paap and disrespecting his wife. I would like to see Krushal play this Ani as well.

Anirudh as a character definitely needs and deserves a show of his own... I would be happy if it would be a web series...milking on his every layers and emotions...where there would be no Trp pressure...no need of butchering him due to FL.....

Yes it’s after all the creative genius of Leena that deserves credit or discredit for the character she’s created in Ani! I have not come across a character like him in the recent times! Krushal’s acting is exemplary whatever be the scenario, but it’s Leena who has shaped him to portray Ani the way he is! It would be easily Krushal’s best character portrayal till date! I have not seen Leena’s other shows and so unable to compare Ani with other characters she’s created thus far!
I m having issues with the storyline not with the characters that much though Jhanak’s character has seen ‘anomalies’ in her core traits ever since the bachcha track .
Lastly the chemistry between the leads is truly magical and it would be unfair to credit that because of their good looks alone. There are other factors that make the chemistry work like their core traits, the acting/ emoting and a gripping story line etc which accessorise the chemistry to create magic on screen!
Right now Ani has been butchered to suit the story line that is focused now on making Jhanak a stronger version of herself.. My only concern is why should she be made to shine like a diamond at the expense of Ani. These twists are looking so forced and hard to believe! Most of the members have ranted about the same in different words..
I m just imagining a parallel universe with RuNak embracing these twists and turns without flipping their core traits..

She seems more pitiful than Ani. Her journey to Star Dancer was cringe. The way she allowed everyone to insult her and take advantage of her, thats not innocence, it's stupidity. She is definitely seeming like she needs a man to prop her up everytime. Coming back to BH again and again, shamelessly and saying she has self respect. Staying when your lover who persuaded her to give in, saying we can decide what is right later, is CA ing her with another man, without even giving her the benefit of doubt; and is clearly prioritizing Arshi over her, time and again.
Empowerment is not this. She says she does not want to know her Dad because he did not accept her, and will take revenge on him; yet wants to force Ani to accept their child; when he clearly & brutally has indicated he does not want to accept it as his. Finding excuses for a man who has character assasinated you; saying he is now married and hence cannot accept her. Both of them have such low respect and trust for each other; they are better off separate for now.
Both Ani and J are being sacrificed to keep Arshi relevant.

Forgot to add, writer deserves all the credit and all the abuse as well for manipulating us emotionally and spreading full on negativity. I'm telling you there is some psychology to this. Imlie was the exact same way...no happiness for female lead or male lead till last episode, yet viewers were strangely addicted to the show, full on masochists the viewers were. I should kick myself for getting sucked into it a second time.
Runak is Runak because of multiple factors, script, writing, acting, their understanding, co-ordination, good looks, their ability to understand and react to the other in real time, their height difference, both being of slight build, the way they move together in synch is nothing short of beautiful. Very rarely do all these things come together in one show.
I very much want Runak - but after the score is evened out on both sides.
