udha Chandran is hoping to wow the audiences with 'Jhalak Dikhla' |
She may be wowed viewers on the silver screen, but now Sudha Chandran is hoping to have the same effect on audiences watching her participate in 'Jhalak Dikhla'.
As the Jhalak Dikhla Ja fever is soaring high it seems that participants are becoming a part of the frenzy, leaving no stones unturned to make sure that they win the favor of the audience for the coveted title. And with the festive mood having hit the nation participant Sudha Chandran has made sure she too joins the 'navaratri' fever for the blessings of the gods, which for her is an important part in helping her win. Talking about participating in the celebrations she says: "It's like a journey of 22 years. After the success of 'Mayuri I was here at 'Navratri' and now I hope I do something good in 'Jhalak' as well."
And though she is the only trained dancer among this year's participants, it seems even after all the training Sudha Chandran is not exactly having it easy to get her moves right on the dance floor. "It's the biggest disadvantage for me, it's a tedious task." She says.
And when we quizzed her about whether she feels intimidated in the presence of young guns like Sandhya Mridul and Prachi Desai, the ace dancer seemed mighty confident about herself. "The older the wine the tastier it becomes. We are not here to compete, 'Mayuri' came 22 years back, and this generation doesn't even know that I dance so 'Jhalak' has given me a good platform."
Well with that sort of confidence Sudha will definitely sail through the difficult stages of the competition. After all we still believe that old is gold!
