I genuinely did not realize how much I missed Jhalak until the theme song started playing, I'm so happy right now. I feel like since I don't know most of the contestants, it'll make it hard for me to stay invested if someone I like is eliminated, but we'll see.

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I'm so sick and tired of Manish Paul, he is not the only anchor in the industry, please let this man go.

Today's acts were kind of boring, for the most part, and personally, I was just psyched to see Paras and Niti perform (I mean, I came to this series for Paras). Nonetheless, I do want to talk about them anyway.

Rubina:

  • Her act was very underwhelming, and I've seen some truly atrocious first acts on dance shows, but this act wasn't even bad it was just so boring.
  • Maybe it's because I haven't seen anything Sanam-related in a while, but I swear his choreography is more engaging and creative than this.
  • I love how everyone's acting like Bigg Boss was her peak or something, how embarrassing.

Amruta:

  • I have no idea who she is, but she seems really sweet and funny. Her interactions with other contestants are really cute too, so I hope she's able to stick around.
  • Her act was super fun, it was very elaborate and energetic, and she seemed comfortable in that style.
  • That being said, it was not worth a standing ovation, calm down.

Dheeraj:

-I love you, but my guy, you did not just do an Om Shanti Om intro, that's so cringe!

-This act was even more boring than Rubina's. I was actually excited, but I really shouldn't have been.

Shilpa:

  • Lots of Bigg Boss contestants this year, huh...
  • Again, I don't who she is, but this was my least favourite act. Personally, I'm not a big fan of putting an abundance of comedic elements in a dance performance, unless your style specifically calls for it.

Sidenote, are they not gonna tell us what the styles are anymore?

Gashmeer:

  • I really wish I knew who he was because his act was my favourite.
  • This was the most technically demanding act and he was so good. Did y'all see that one lift he did where he's holding Romsha up with (I think) one arm???
  • I would hate to be the one cleaning up the stage after they're done though.
  • I did read some of the previous posts on the forum, and I don't know why some of y'all are acting like we haven't had acts like this before. JDJ Season 7 had so many acts like this and they were even more explicit, like, someone definitely bit their partner's lip on stage.

Ali:

  • He should've just come as himself rather than dadi.
  • If someone on the production team briefed me on what dadi's gimmick of the day was, I would quit on the spot.
  • Also, Lipsa seems vaguely familiar to me... Idk if anyone on here has ever watched the show Dil Dosti Dance, but I'm like 70% sure that she came in for 3-4 episodes, just because the character's name was also Lipsa and that's a such unique name.

Rubina's performance wasn't that bad. The act was quite nice but definitely not an act that can be said that the season started with a bang like the judges did.

Amruta's act was nice too but the standing ovation was too much. In every ITV dance show it seems like they just love to see item numbers or bollywood tadka types performances. No wonder the praise.

Shilpa knows she can't dance yet put lots of efforts. Kudos to her. But yes she needs to improve or else she will get eliminated soon.

I really liked Gashmeer's act. Hot but not too vulgar.

About Ali, this type of performances will entertain once or twice then people will get bored. So as Nora said, I hope his partner brings something unique each time.

Over all, I missed the show that's why watching it but so far it was quite boring. And about Manish Paul, I usually like him but yesterday he was damn boring.

I was super excited about jhalak. But honestly the two episodes were just boring.

And the fault lies with the judges and the host and not the contestants. Nora and kjo are absolutely useless as dance judges. Even madhuri was completely lacklustre.

... And Manish's jokes are so repetitive and stale. He had been running around after madhuri's pallu for like 5 years. Please stop now

I'm remembering the first few seasons of DID. The general public did not know the three choreographers as such but their comments made all the difference to the show
