So as I understand the concept of jdj, it's about these celebs taking up the dance challenge because they like dancing and learn in the process of the show.
There's incentive too like prize money at the end and the fear of getting eliminated which keeps the drive of working harder.
The professional dancers in this competition might have an edge over the other contestants it may seem, but then they have this voting thing also which gives popular contestants an edge even if they're not that great dancers.

I wasn't much aware to the concept of this reality show like other shows like Bigg Boss, Dance Deewane, Super Dancer as JDJ's last season aired quite long back and I wasn't aware of reality shows that time.
So here, choreography and according performance matters more.
