| Renuka Shahane and Ashutosh Rana | The hunt for the new contestants of Nach Baliye 3 has begun and the makers have already started approaching actors to participate in the show. However, when Renuka Shahane and her husband Ashutosh Rana were approached to participate in the contest, they refused saying that they were not comfortable with the idea of dancing on stage. Renuka says, "When they called us for Nach Baliye 3, we were glad. But, we are really not interested in dancing before so many people. Both of us are professional actors. Rather than dancing, we would love to do an acting assignment together."
Besides, Renuka does not want to go through the rigorous process of training required for the show. "Spending three months to learn a few dance steps is pointless!" she says. Was Renuka scared because she's never danced before, ever? "It is true that I never had an inclination towards dancing, but I can definitely take up another challenge.
It is just that I can't identify with the idea of dancing in a show. Moreover, Ranaji and I are not the type of actors who would want to hog the limelight by participating in a show like Nach Baliye. I enjoy watching Nach Baliye and Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but that's it," says Renuka.
While Ashutosh is busy with his Telugu film down South and Hindi film, Awaarapan, Renuka, post Jeete Hain Jiske Liye closure, is busy with her scripting and her directorial venture. "I am really sad that a show like Jeete Hain Jiske Liye is going off air. But now I have loads of time to devote to my family and kids," she smiles. |
