I think you are missing my point Giafan. Perhaps you should read why I added my disclaimers again πŸ˜ƒ

But perhaps I should also add. Having not watched the original my only terms of reference where those who I knew who had watched both. Needless to say that did not affect my own decision to watch the show. I hope that clarifies any doubts you may have πŸ˜ƒ

Thank you shruthi. I think you have proven my point regarding the target market.

One cannot quite judge an American version with an Indian one. There are bound to be vast deifferences. Quite apart from the fact that the original was several decades ago. Everything changes with time πŸ˜ƒ

american shows roll in money. each thing is specified and researched and done to the T. were as indian shows go for the cheap mode. still the effort show be appreciated.
this is snap of jeannie's room. imagine the constructed it during 1965 -70. they are well in advance so no use to find which is the best

I know Navya is very patriotic and I am sure you wouldn't want to offend her πŸ˜ƒ

Oh and shall we leave SNS out of this. I prefer discussing J&J on this Forum and SNS in its Forum. We don't want the Mod's to start closing threads because of comparison posts which are against IF COC πŸ˜ƒ

Then, why you said, DHOOTH AND PANI, because, this proverb used in J&J , two days ago...it is not a everyday proverb. why, you making fun of J&J😈, why you brought dhooth and pani here?. The same words you used in the SNS forum for Sandu's devoleena baby bump post...You are saying SNS trp is dhooth?πŸ˜†

I must admit my personal preference is for Indian tv. Unfortunately I do not get it via satellite and must rely on watching it via the web.

Having said that my bias is obvious because I am Indian πŸ˜†

The doodh and pani expression I first heard on IF. Tbh I love it and think it's awesome. Ergo I will use it as and when I feel it is warranted πŸ˜ƒ

Whether any shows trp's are doodh or pani I won't judge until I actually see the trp's though. Heavens knows I am not one to judge in advance. I may just end up being a laughing stock for getting it all wrong 😳

You noticed 😳

I am trying to my best to improve my Hindi. I have always apologies for it being atrocious. Now I decided to stop complaining and start improving 😳

I used "Kuch ajeeb hai" yesterday. I heard it in a movie once πŸ˜† Was actually quite proud of myself. I have no clue if I spelt it right though

Which reminds me. Does it mean something strange or something confusing? πŸ˜ƒ

Yay we managed to turn this thread pink! πŸ‘πŸΌ

I have watched the original. There are differences between the two as one is made for an indian audience and the other for american. It all comes down to personal preference and for me, as good as Ali Asagar is and believe me he is funny, I found Larry Hagman's pained portrayal funnier. How you see the programme depends on if you are a die hard fan or not.
