Mona confirms that she indeed has a major problem with her knee. She says, "Yes, I was told that even surgery will not guarantee a cure. But neither my parents nor I, are in favour of a surgery."
Why can't the surgery guarantee a cure? "Well, the problem is that it is not only a bone-related thing. During Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa I strained my back too. A few days after the show, my back pain subsided but I started getting terrible pain in my left knee. I could barely stand. The doctors who were examining me then, revealed that some problem in the nerves of my spine had led to the knee problem."
So is there a definite cure? Thankfully yes. She says, " Pooja, who had a bad fall during Jhalak… had consulted an ayurvedic practitioner. He cured her in three days, so on her recommendation I approached him. He treats his patients through acupuncture and massage. I have been visiting his clinic in Thane for the past one week and I'm already feeling better. Though it's a two-hour drive to Thane, I have no choice. Another 10 days of treatment is expected to do the trick."
