Purab Mehra.......then & now..

Hey All,

Hate to bring up this topic………. But what do u all think of Purab Mehra NOW, i.e. post Alibagh? I know almost EVERYBODY here is a Purab Mehra fan. But just try to be impartial for once and think about the way he is behaving now. It's not only immature but also so undignified!!! How can u just walk into somebody's office in the night and sit there waiting for him, that too in darkness like a thief. One of my friends commented that since the security of Gulmohar House couldn't have allowed him to go up to the Chairman's office without the CM's permission he must have sneaked in or have climbed through the window!!! As if that was not enough he went on delivering threats to the Chairman!!! I even hate to type this but Armaan Suri acted very cool and mature compared to Purab in the circumstances!!! Then again Purab walks into Armaan's engagement "uninvited" looking for Jassi!!! I understand he was desperate to talk to Jassi but gate crashing someone else's party!!! Again I just have to mention that Armaan acted very mature in both the occasion.

Also there is the fact that why is he acting so guilty around Jassi's father? If he is clear from his conscience then why is he finding it so difficult to confront Jassi & her family? Instead of giving out empty threats to Armaan Suri, Purab Mehra must try to DO something. Oh, Armaan has always been a cad and the way he is acting now is nothing new to what he was previously. Nothing in him has changed. Infact down the line Jassi might change him. But that's a different story. Now think of Purab. Such actions and behavior are way below the Purab we came to know and love in Alibagh.

I am sorry to say but slowing and gradually I am loosing respect for this character😭…….

I mentioned in an earlier post that the return of Purab Mehra is a tug of war between the directors and the audience. The audience will not let him go and the directors dont know what to do with him.

Perhaps they are trying to wean us away from Purab. 😡

Hopefully they have a "plan" for him.

The security guard only stood at the door...and since there was a party, it would have been very easy for him to slip inside the office without anyone noticing. I doubt it that he climbed through the window. If he did, suit must have been wrinkle-proof.😉

But, why didn't Armaan call for security if he didn't want Purab in Gulmohar? Did he need to consult Raj on that too?

That I agree was totally NATO (No Action Talk Only). I mean, if you want to intimidate someone, you ought to carry out your threats!

I disagree that Armaan acted in a very cool or mature manner. He clearly showed Purab that he was intimidated by him in his office. In fact, here again he could have called security if he didn't want uninvited guests at his party (guess his brain malfunctioned at that point of time). Instead he drank a toast with him and then threw away his glass like a little kid (VERY mature). Purab on the other hand simply smirked and mimiced him as if to say "Big deal, you don't scare me!" Even though Purab brazenly entered the party, he clearly was not intimidated by Armaan, which I think is very cool. Besides, even Armaan acted like a sneak by whisking Jassi away from the party (guilty conscience?).

He did talk to Billu in the last episode, but remember that he still thinks Jassi may have read his letter so there is still a fear that she may not have appreciated him. But, I do agree that upto this point Purab is totally NATO.

the only reasoning for this is that Purab saw what became of him when he acted like a nice guy...So now, he feels that he has to beat Armaan at his own game. I mean, I know Purab is a good guy and all (thats why I adore his character), but everyone has their limits.

The one thing I dont understand is that if Armaan (who has more negative shades to his character) does even one good thing, ppl treat him like a saint, but if Purab (who has more positive shades to his character) does something even remotely close to what Armaan had done, everyone is like "Oh, we didn't expect this from you", which is plainly ridiculous. I guess the saying "To err is human" only applies to Mr I-Need-A-Brain.

Majority of the audience would like Purab to be married to Jassi, but we know that's not going to happen. So now, all they can do is make Purab into a villain or a complete devta who sacrifices his love and becomes a hermit.

This is about as impartial as I can get with my analysis😉

Whatever Purab's fate may be, Purab fans are going to continue watching (I think) this serial, not as an endorsement to Armaan and his sleazy character, but out of a feeling of resignation. Basically because of the TINA (There Is No Alternative) factor.

I am too sick of watching JJKN🤢.Only because of Purab i am sticking to tht show but still we only can see him for about 5 min which i feel really disgusting.I don't know wht Tony and Diya are thinking about This Lovlely character, but they sure have to give a explainable exit is they really want to get rid of him.Otherwise , this show is really gonna be flop.

U know just imagine the situation he would have been in if Armaan hadn't come to the office and Purab might have waited till morning to give his (what u so delicately put as) NATO!!! Moreover what if by that time Purab was desperate to answer to natures call……… what would have happened then😕?

And what can I say about Armaan Suri's behavior? His actions sometimes makes me want to catch hold of him and shake his till his teeth rattles and some sort of a sense can be put in him. He acts and thinks like a kid and have the attitude of a stubborn mule. As far as the "mal function" of Armaan's brain is concerned……..I have a Q, can u give me one instance when it did function❓?

The most important difference abt Purab now and then is I suppose his lack of dignity.

The show JJKN is about how love❤️ can change a human being. Change not only outwardly in appearance (like Jassi😔 will undergo with time) but also from ur heart and way of thinking (Mr. I-Need-A-Brain🐷 Suri). With time I have come to realize that Armaan Suri needs Jassi in his life more than Purab. Purab knows what he wants and goes for it in a cool and calculated way, he is the MATURED MAN. But Armaan is lost without Jassi beside him!!! I am talking not only about Gulmohar and Kohinoor, but also about his life. He is a confused soul🤓 now and keeping in accord with his nature refuses to accept it. He needs Jassi to give him a "disha" in his life. No, I don't think the show will be flop, cause luv always emerges victorious.

THANX👏 TO ALL OF U FOR PUTTING UP UR VIEWS WITHOUT GETTING MAD AT ME……. Like all of u even I am counting on the directors to give the character a decent and dignified exit.

😆 This is totally cracking me up! But, Gulmohar does have a washroom doesn't it? And I doubt it that Purab would have stayed back so long...As we remember, he DOES have a brain. But, if he doesn't carry out those threats, I'm going to have to slate him in the idiot category!

Thanks for the advice. Wonder how this so obvious alternative escaped me. JJKN must be addling my brain.

Before I take off, here is a suggestion that I came across on the Setindia board that I thought was brilliant - Purab with Arundhati leaving the meddlesome Raj high and dry.
