You are an amazing bunch! I was hysterical reading your postings! However, here is my take on how T & D's brains might work: 1. Jassi is a girl of principles. There is no way she is going to back out of her commitment to Purab. 2. Jassi would hate to hurt her family who are totally sold on Purab. 3. T & D have made some major modifications to the original story to suit the Indian consciousness! Happy endings (especially for Purab fans) are a must. 4. Between now and March, when I am led to believe by the forum, the serial comes to an end, is not enough time to build Armaan's personality into an acceptable one (for the audiences) which could endear Armaan to us and make him an acceptable groom for our Jassi. 5. Again from the Jassi interview, it looks as if the actress playing Jassi would like to move on in her career. There is no way she will get tied forever to this role. 6. Samir Soni seems to have already planned out fresh pastures. But the "promise" that he made in the last episode sounded pretty strong and futuristic. 7. And with the kind of fan following that Purab and the Purab-Jassi pair enjoy, there is no way that the makers will go against public approval. It would seriously jeapordize their future ventures. It would be okay if Armaan hadn't been portrayed as so very devious and cunning. But having done so, it would be sheer idiocy to pair Jassi in final union with Armaan! That would make her character look like a complete imbecile. That would contradict the intelligence (not necessarily wisdom or ability to discriminate) that she been shown to have all along. Okay, guys, thats my two-penny bit! Have a great day. |
"Jassi is a girl of principles", is she really? Where were her principles when she undertook the illegal Khoinoor company, or when she agreed to met Armaan before the Sagai, or when she walked out on Purab and the families dinner to prove her precious Armaan was innocent re the draft (before she wrongly accused him).
"Jassi would not hurt her family who are sold on Purab", wouldnt they be more hurt if they learned she is only marrying him to keep her family and Purab happy? Remember what Nandu was telling Purab that the only way Jassi is happy is to keep everyone around her happy. Remember the expression on Purabs face? Wouldnt the family feel the same if they knew?
"T&D have made major modifications to suit the Indian audience, happy endings (J with P) are a must" Well J with P isnt a happy ending for all the Armaan fans out there. You are forgetting (as Jammy stated in an earlier post) Tony and Divvya failed to get permission from the Columbian writters to change the ending. So Armaan will marry Jas in the end.
Actually since that interview was posted Tarun has said the show will end in May, giving Armaan more time to reform - and hasnt he already started showing a reformation? Also in that time there are plenty of options T&D could explore including turning Purab negative to endear us to Armaan further.
Jassi will not seem an imbecile to the Indian audience if the Armaan change of character is handled well. What about the fan following Armaan and Jassi enjoy - Armaan and Purab probably have the same number of fans each. Other sites are devoted to Armaan and Jass the same way this forum seems to have more Purab fans.
ides:as they say wise men make proverbs and fools repeat them Right, justas ides keeps on repeating the proverbs wise men have made......😉 |

She means he has already started looking for someone else to replace Jassi👍🏼... maybe Bebe, like someone suggested in another posting, who would give him unconditional love he craves........😉
