Mills & Boon πŸ˜† πŸ˜† Do they still have those? Such sexist stuff - can't believe we used to think they were romantic! Don't think I'll be able to read that crap anymore.

Yes,on that point I completely agree with you.I just refered to the heroes being bad before becoming good. And there have been some truly beautiful stroies among most of the crap.

Hey Minnie, I realize what you were trying to say to Jammy in your earlier post. I was just talking about Mills and Boons novels in general - I really don't remember too much about them, but I know that most of them were very sexist and at that time I did not appreciate that fact that much. So that now if I read them, I'll probably feel offended as a woman. I hope you did not think that I was annoyed at you for comparing JJKN to M&B 😊

Naah!! I never even heard about them. Its just that its a western name. so I guess a show(JJKN) which is based on the tradition and principal's of an indian girl and indian audience, cannot be compared with something western. What were they anyways?? serials or novels? Jammy.

P.S : Going down for the night see you all tommo. 😊

Actually Jammy, though M&B is "western" the heroes are such MCPs they can easily pass off as Indian πŸ˜‰

πŸ˜†πŸ˜† Good one allegra!!!!!!!!

Jammy,M & B are a series of romantic novels very popular from 50's

to early 90's. Theme was,boy met girl, fought with her,she hated him, they plotted against each other, somewhere fell in love with each other ( subconcious love was given birth here),& in the end confessed their love to each other and lived happily ever after.More often than not there used to be a Purab like character somewhere but he never ever got the girl.

M & B can be quite ahem explicit these days - my friends mum collects the novels and when I flicked through them I was quite shocked at the content!!

In short, I guess Mills & Boons isnt that great.

2 Months back, my friend came back from USA he brought several DVD's to be precises around 200!!! all official second handπŸ˜† and one of them was the movie the 'The Last American Virigin' Now please dont go completely on name its was supposed to be one of the 80's comedy. and I was supposed to make me laugh but it just left me completely sad, Shocked and completely sore!!

One of the most heart-wrenching endings I have ever seen. The girl leaves the good guy (Gary) for bad guy (Rick) and in the end the Gary who loves her is shown crying😭 !!! While she is making out with the bad one, this poor guy is worried about her and searching her all over!! But something tell me that It might have been a true ending, I mean things like these might be happening intoday's time or then!!

He told me to take the DVD and I sad no, for I was liking the good Guy and he was the one who lost, It was like I lost😑 so I said buddy you keep it, and I took The Matrix DVD instead!!

Jammy.

Jammy, you are too sentimental.don't be.Life can be very hard sometimes. At some points,U just want to give up.Then something happens which helps you ride the storm. It can be anything from the word of assurance from your friend to the smile of your child.Christopher Reeve hung on to his life for 9 years just because his wife had said to him when he wanted to give up right after his accident: " you are still you and I love you ".

Good things mostly what happens to others just as very bad things are what only happens to others. It's the way you take life is important.

That's why my fav song has always been:' Ruk jana nahi,tu kahin haarke;kaanto pe chal ke milenge saaye bahaar ke '
