Hi,

I wondering if you remember the famous "Pride & Prejudice" It is one of my all time favourites. I really want to see that happen between Jassi and Purab. Slowly Jassi should see Armaan (Wickham) for what he is.This novel was so romantic. Words seldom used. Sometime ago I bought a DVD set which had Colin Firth acting as Darcy. My god, I couldn't sleep for so many days. It is the best adaptation of Darcy and the novel that I have seen. I do recommend that DVD set to anyone who likes this novel. Has anyone else seen this DVD?

it is my favorite stories too, but there pride was the issue , here armaan and jassi's muleheadedness is the issue. i doubt t&d can bring out that magic, they basically end up butchering thier characters everytime they introduce a twist

Pride and Prejudice was one excellent book and they do resemble Liz and Darcy in some ways.

However, Jassi reminds me more of Marianne from Sense and Sensibility. Armaan is Willoughby and Purab is Colonel Brandon. Like Jassi, Marianne was head over heels in love with Willoughby, but he was just using her for a flirtation.

She used to think Colonel Brandon was too boring and old for her (not that Jassi thinks of Purab in that way), but eventually she realized that his love for her was true and marries him in the end.

Hi Mystica,

I agree with you on that. But I feel the equation is different. My favourite if P&P because of the way the author has written the latter half. It is so simple and so true. The way Lizzy develops respect for Darcy, appreciates what he has is amazing. well, I just can't describe how much I love the second half.. I hope to see something like ( not fully, but atleast a little) in this also.

BTW, I also like Sense & sensibility. I have both the DVD and book for that one too 😃

I've read both of those books. Jane Austen is a wonderful author!!!! I think Jassi is a combination of the characters from those two books.

Thats true, Lakshmi...I want to see Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth is a great actor! He was really good in Bridget Jones' Diary.

I agree Anjali...Jassi is a combo of both Liz and Marianne.
