Chapter 1:
6th January 2005:
It was a lovely day in America. The sun was out bright shining and the kids were playing in the playground.
Older kids were standing at one side of the big hall and talking. With his coffee in his hand, there he stood with his black fluffy hair walking around while the girls stared at him with twinkling eyes. He was the soul of the school. He was 13 years old and the most handsome boy at that age.
But if only his personality could be like what he appeared as.
A girl came up to him and asked him "Heyy Sid do you want to hang out with us".
The girl was shocked when he started laughing in her face.
"Excuse me? You are not my type okay", he continued laughing. He stared at her from top to bottom and made a weird face causing the girl to cry.
He walked away with his friend Rahul. Rahul was his best friend. No one could understand Sid better than him. The bitter truth was Sid only had one true friend. The rest only used him for his good looks. And by looking at his personality he didn't deserve any good friends either.
Playboy everyone called him. He was considered the most handsome and the most intelligent but yet he was such a cranky pants.
He had that look that stare which would shut everyone up when he walked into school.
A total hypocrite in class to the teachers and a total rude person outside of class. A two-sided boy.

A girl with black hair up to her shoulder stepped out of a car. She was chubby and not as skinny as others. In fact, she was fat. She was 12 years old.
As she walked into her new house she looked around in disgust. She was a very simple girl who wanted a small house filled with love but unfortunately that can't happen because of her mom who was no less than a Hitler'.
She had just moved from India to America. DD wanted to set up her famous jewellery store here. There were two things she hated: her mom and her weight. But they both connected with each other so she couldn't stop them from happening. How you ask? Well whenever she gets sad or starts to stress herself she eats a lot and that's always because of her mother who doesn't pay one bit of attention to her.
She likes to pick the smallest room for herself because she believes a small space spreads love around however if it's a big place it separates everyone. She grew up in a heartless society but that never changed her after all her Mona Bua and her Nani was with her.
That was her real family. She had no one else except for her best friend/sister.
Soniya was her name. When Soniya was a baby same age as her, she lost her parents and Mona Bua had adopted her. After this she became Roshni's everything. Roshni found a best friend in her along with a sister.
Everyone else she met rebuked her, made fun of her, mocked her just because of her weight.
She moved to America with a hope that she will get new people around her who will care for her become her friends. She knew too little.
She was one of those girls who would rather be alone but would search for a ray of hope. After all she was Roshni. Her name defined her.
She was in her bedroom unpacking.
"Roshni beta tumhe kal school jaana hain na? Go to sleep, it's very late", her nani ordered her.
"Yes, sexy but you forgot one thing remember", Roshni tried to remind her.
"Oh, yeah your bedtime story".
Roshni appeared to be mature but on the inside somewhere there was a kid hidden who only craved for one thing. A mother's love but she has to accept reality which is her mom is always engrossed in work and will never ever pay attention to her.
Nani told her a bedtime story and so she slept peacefully.

Khurana house:
Siddarth was sitting down on his bed talking to Rahul.
"Yaar tumhe pata hain today I saw this beautiful cute girl walking out of a car.",Rahul said daydreaming.
"Acha?", Sid teased.
"Yeah I heard someone calling her soniya or something".
"Soniya acha naam hain. Ek kaam kar ask her out then after a while break up with her. Then you'll know how she is and plus you'll be done with her then you don't have to be worried about this love thing", Siddarth was very young but he was a really mature person. He was his one person. As he grew up, he tended to understand the world himself.
His Dad was always by his side but his mom. She couldn't even speak or move. Ever since Siddarth was born, his mom developed a disease and went into coma. Perhaps that's why Siddarth has never been able to learn manners properly. His dad was a strong person on the outside but on the inside, he was very weak mostly because of his wife. He couldn't be able to give Siddarth a good upbringing.
Maybe one day, his mom will come out of coma and teach him etiquettes. But will it be too late by then??
Rahul replied him "Siddarth you idiot I am not a playboy like you. One day I will find love and so will you"
"Yeah yeah I don't believe in love", he answered but is that going to change one day?
It was morning time. Roshni was getting ready for school. She wore a puffy beige cute little dress and her bag was on her back. She went to school with her tiffin in her hand. DD dropped at her school and didn't say a word throughout the journey.
"Mumma?" Roshni was hoping to seek her attention.
"What Roshni? Can't you see am busy driving?".
Roshni always had her chocolates in her bag. She took out the chocolate bar ate one bite and put it back in her pocket.
"Mumma how am I looking today".
"Bakwas", DD said and stared at her weight for one second.
She took out her chocolate again and took another bite.
She arrived at the school. It is the same school that Siddarth is attending.
As she walked through the hall, her flat shoes that rolled up on the top made an annoying sound causing everyone to stare at her. She felt uncomfortable.
As she was walking, someone put their arm out.
"Its okay you can hold my arm while walking, actually I am the boss of this school and I am your senior so you can trust me",Siddarth has a catch. There was always a catch for him being so nice.
"Okay",Roshni smiled. She fell in his trap.
As she holded his arm Siddarth grabbed her other arm and pulled her to the wall to make her hit the wall and fall down.
Everyone started laughing and Siddarth start high giving people. Everyone was laughing and staring while Roshni couldn't stop her tears.
She was embarrassed badly and someone reached out for her.
"Who are you", she asked with tears.
"Hi I am Rahul. Actually am Siddarth's friend but I am not an idiot like him", he replied pointing to Siddarth.
Roshni hesitantly gave him her hand because she saw trust in his eyes.
Rahul brought her to the canteen and made her sit down.
Rahul gave her his handkerchief.
Roshni took it and wiped her tears. "You seem to be a nice boy", she forced a smile.
"I am don't worry sis you are safe with me", he assured her.
"Sis?".
"Well see I protected you from those idiots so consider me your brother".
She shook hands with him.
"May I know what my sisters name is?", he asked sweetly.
Roshni was about to say her name when suddenly Soniya came and called out for her.
"Roshni! Come na we have to go to class", she said.
Rahul saw her and remembered the girl he saw the day before. Same eyes same hair.
A skinny girl with an absolute flawless face.
"And what are you doing with this jerk? You know he is also his friend. I noticed them yesterday. "Soniya looked at him weirdly.
Roshni tried to say he was a very nice guy but then Rahul said "You noticed me?".
He was lost in her eyes and they just walked away.
Siddarth came up to him.
"Oh hello what were you doing here with that fatty", Siddarth mocked.
"Come on yaar, she's new to this school have some respect", Rahul tried to convince him but it was impossible to convince him.
"Respect woh bhi to this rolly polly? No freaking way.", he replied.
"Tera kuch nahi ho sakta"
Roshni was going to her class when suddenly someone pulled her bag back making her trip over.
"Haha look at her she can't even balance herself because of her weight",Siddarth gave her a mocking glare.
"How are you gonna get up now rolly polly".
Roshni started to be afraid of him now. She felt as if someone was suffocating her.
She skipped class and went to a corner to eat her chocolates. But someone followed her. Siddarth was taking pictures of her eating chocolates.
"This is going to be handy for the future", he thought.
He walked away leaving her crying there for ages.
After she went home, she cried on her Nani's lap for ages. She thought this time it would be different but nothing changed. Everything was the same. The teasing the hatred everything. She hated everything including America, her school, her mom, her house, her classmates and even Siddarth. After all Siddarth hurt her a lot.
The next day:
Roshni arrived at school again with plenty of sweets filled in her pocket. She knew Siddarth was going to something to her again for sure.
She was walking looking down trying not to make eye contact with anyone. Siddarth stared at her and signalled his friends to follow him.
He cornered Roshni in the classroom while Roshni begged him to let her go.
"You want me to let you go?", Siddarth asked.
"Yes please", Roshni pleaded.
"Okay go but on one condition. Stand up on this chair and shout out my name is rolly polly and I am a fatty", Siddarth blackmailed her.
Roshni realised she had no other option than to do it. She wanted to get this over with so she did what he said.
"My name is rolly polly and I am a fatty", she shouted out.
Everyone came in and bursted out laughing looking at her. Rahul and Soniya looked at her sadly.
After this, Rahul came up to Siddarth and said "Dude stop this now! That's enough" .
"What's your problem? "Siddarth said pushing him.
Rahul pushed him back and Siddarth ended up punching him causing blood to come out.
"Oh my god yaar I am so sorry",Siddarth said running out.
Roshni was surprised seeing his soft side too.
After that day, everyday was like that for her. She was traumatized. On one side there was her mom who was an ignorant egotistic person and on the other hand there was her school life. Siddarth troubling her everyday, pranking her, making fun of her...how could she live with all these things.
Stress came through her head and she couldn't bear and so started eating again. A lot until she couldn't look at herself and she had to move back to India because the atmosphere in America troubled her a lot.
How will Roshni change? How will Siddarth change? I will answer all these questions in next update...
