Chapter 9:
Roshni was feeling awful looking at his condition. He was lying there helplessly on the hospital bed screaming. He couldn't move, he could barely do anything other than tell Roshni to go away from him.
"Roshni go away right now.", he begged her.
"But Siddarth how can I leave you", Roshni was already in pain, now hearing Siddarth telling her to go away hurt her more.
Siddarth's red eyes read that Roshni should go away. He was suffering. Blood dripped from him mouth and caused Roshni to scream for the doctor.
The doctor rushed in and as Roshni stepped away, she felt as if her life was going away from her.
The doctor tried to make Sid stay calm but he was only panicking.
The doctor gave him an injection and he went to sleep.
Roshni came in and asked the doctor "How is he doing doctor?".
"Dekho now we can't really say anything but I can just say he is very critical and unfortunately if he wants you to stay away from him you have to", The doctor walked away.
Roshni could never stay away from Sid especially when Sid is in this condition but she has no other choice.
After a while, Simran and the rest of the family walked in. Roshni was also there against the wall silently crying.
As Siddarth opened his eyes, he saw Roshni crying. No matter how adamant he was, he could never bear Roshni's tears. He continued looking into her eyes and tears dripped from his eyes also.
"How are you beta", Simran asked him.
"I am fine but I would be happier if Roshni wasn't here.".
Those words hurt Roshni like hell. Simran gave her a death stare which immediately showed her that she should go away.
"Siddarth if that's what you want then okay I will leave. I can't stay here anymore listening to those words. Listen to me carefully, if I go now I won't come back", Roshni meant it.
"Just go Roshni", Sid demanded.
Roshni walked away out of the room.
"I want to be alone if you guys would leave then.", Sid said to his family members.
"But Sid", Simran started to say...
"I said I want to be alone", he requested them to go.
Everyone went out of the hospital room.
Sid was alone in his room. He closed his eyes in pain.
"I am very sorry Roshni. I know how much you are hurt but I can't help it. The doctor said the poison spread all over my body. If something happens to me I don't want, you to be hurt. It's very important to make you hate me", He cried.
Roshni hating him is the worst thing for him. But he had to bear it silently. He knew he was being selfish for his love but he couldn't help it. After all he loved her immensely.
"If only that hadn't happened", he recalled the incident.
[Flashback:]
Roshni and him had just come from London. They were invited to this business party. They were both looking so happy and lovely but someone didn't like this. He eyed them very closely and couldn't tolerate their happiness. It was someone very familiar. Gafoor...
He took out a packet which contained a poisonous powder. He put it in the juice.
He slowly put it on the tray and signalled the waiter to give it to them. The waiter went over to SidNi and Roshni picked up the juice which had the poisonous powder and gave it to Sid. Siddarth drank all of it in one go. He and Roshni was enjoying the party as it went on.
Suddenly Sid felt drowsy and he felt sick. Gafoor noticed this and smirked.
"Woah Siddarth are you okay?", Roshni holded his arm.
He fell while Roshni screamed "Siddarth!!". She called the ambulance.
They rushed him to the hospital. His face went pale and Roshni was dead worried.
The doctor examined him and came out to talk to his family members.
"Doctor what's wrong with him", Roshni asked impatiently.
"He has been poisoned."
Those words struck Roshni.
"Poisoned?". She started backing away.
"But how is that possible?", she cried.
She walked over to the room and looked at Siddarth.
"But he will be okay, right?", Roshni wanted assurance.
"He has not gain conscious yet so we can't say anything for now".
Roshni sat there crying while Raj and Kritika tried to console her.
After a week:
Siddarth had gained conscious and opened his eyes to find Roshni there. He smiled.
"Roshni", he called out.
Roshni turned around hearing his voice.
"Siddarth oh my god finally you are up!", Roshni let out a sigh of relief.
Roshni ran to his bed and started touching his face.
Roshni had tears in her eyes.
"Oh, ho yaar I just woke up and you're crying. I don't think you are happy with me waking up. Perhaps I should go back"
"Siddarth if you say that again I will kill you!", she put her hand on his lips to stop him from talking rubbish.
"Roshni kehte hain when you are in hospital people bring gifts fruits flowers for you. Where is my gift?", He smirked.
"Acha? Kya chayiye tumhe"?
"Kiss", he let out his naughtiness.
Roshni came closer to him and smiled looking at his cute innocent face. She gave him a delicate soft kiss on his cheek.
"Roshni wives don't kiss on cheeks", He pouted.
"You asked for kiss and I gave you one. It's not my mistake", Roshni smacked him.
"No this is cheating", He said while Roshni slipped a medicine in his mouth.
"Yuck", he said like a child.
"Now go to sleep", Roshni said while caressing his head.
After a few minutes:
Roshni came into the room and Siddarth was sleeping. The doctor came in with his results.
"Mrs Khurana am sorry to say but the poison is not all gone. The poison had alcohol and alcohol tends to stay for more time. It has spread into his liver. And liver is an important organ. If his liver gets anymore damaged than it can more or less put his life in danger"
Roshni looked at Siddarth sadly as she cried. She wiped her tears and said "No matter what doctor, I will never leave his side".
The doctor and Roshni went out of the room to discuss medicines and all the rest.
Siddarth opened his eyes and he had heard everything.
"Am sorry Roshni, I can't do this to you".
Later:
Roshni walked in.
"How is it going Mr.Khurana", Roshni said playfully.
"Don't pretend to be caring", Siddarth cursed himself for saying this.
"Matlab", Roshni was confused at his sudden outburst.
"Matlab you don't have to act anymore. I know it was you who added that poison to that juice", Sid said angrily.
"KYA?", Roshni couldn't believe what she just heard.
"Roshni I can't believe you did this to me! I loved you and you cheated me like this.", Sid was forced to say all this. He never wanted to hurt Roshni but he did.
"Sid I love you more than anything. If you think that I did this I have no words for you", she walked away.
[Flashback ends]
Siddarth was on his bed sobbing like he just lost everything.
