I did not know about Valmikiji having a curse so I'd love to know about it. Of course thought....in the evening!πŸ˜‰

Tulsidasji was the reincarnation of Valmiki ji!! 😊
Actually, I had a thought I don't know if it's true....about the differences in Ramcharitmanas and Valmiki Ramayana.....VR was written soooo long ago, actually it was written in the Treta Yuga itself, while RC was written in the 16th century. Couldn't VR have been twisted and changed from it's true version all these years by various people to suit their needs?
LoL!!! Ppl as in?! If your talking about Tikas done of VR and even RCM then really u know, in todays time ppl write more of what they think. πŸ˜† I wud just say if u want original then take mostly everything from Gitapress. You ll get everything that was true!!! What has been written by Tulsidas ji is true. I dont know about the others. lol! Others whoo? :P Today ppl say there was nothing like Ram setu built like you said ACC. to their OWN needs!! 🀒 Dumb ppl!!
For example, the story of Rama killing Shambhuka, which has created many controversies is in VR and not in RC. I tend to think Ram did not kill Shambhuka because it would go against his image as Maryada Purushotham. And there are other stories in the VR which go against Ram's image so sometimes I wonder if the VR we have today is really the Ramayana Valmikiji wrote.
Shambhukha?! I dont know about any Shambhuka di! If u cud explain better perhaps? I will just say time and again, for original, read Gitapress. Because other press and scholars and others actually do mingle with the original stories and write their own stuff πŸ˜•πŸ˜†

I have one more question:
I know I know that we shouldn't take serials and movies as sources, but in Ramanand Sagar's Luv Kush serial, they showed Sitaji suggesting exile to Ram, because he was torn between exiling her and not. Is this part of the story written in any version do you know? Or is it exactly right that Sitaji did not know about Ram's decision until Lakshman took her to the forest?

The story of Shambhuka was written in Valmiki Ramayan, but I don't know if it's in Gita Press. Maybe it's an addition like you said.

The oldest mention of Shambuka occurs in the Ramayana of Valmiki, in the last book of the epic Uttara-kanda. After Lord Rama returns to Ayodhya and is crowned the king of Ayodhya, the death of a child occurs in the kingdom[1]. He is told that calamities such as this occur when Dharma is not followed in a kingdom. Rama tries to find out the reason and comes to know that a person of the Shudra jati, called Shambuka is performing penance which he is strictly not supposed to do according to the Varna system[2]. He is executed, by beheading, personally by Rama[3].

The place where Shambuka was beheaded is identified as the hill of Ramtek, near Nagpur in Maharashtra.[4]

You are just speaking opposite of what is true. Tulsidas has written their version in Medieval period where the influence of kings, bhakti movements e.t.c didn't permit him to write everything exactly as it happened and adding his own imagination. Tulsidas has deliberately ignored various part of original stories as Ram performing animal sacrifice, eating non-veg, making ravan's uncle his son e.t.c and added his own such as Ram eating sabri's jhutha fruit , story of chaaya sita e.t.c. we must believe in Valmikie's version more than Tulsida's as he was contemporary and seen everything from his own eye's.

PS. As in example of tulsidas ignoring I have given two of the many controversial part this doesn't mean I am speaking something against Sri RAM, there are various glories of Ram which was also ignored.

Read Angelz's post dear.πŸ˜‰ It will clear some misunderstandings you have against Lord Ram. Clearly you have something against him.πŸ€ͺ

The second part is true. That Sita ji didnt know until Laxman took her to forest. And this is in VR!! And aaj kal ke shows ko dekh ke na specially specially JSK I wud advise you dont take anything totally right from these shows. They have made Gods life as their basis for entertainment. And JSK is like a complete fun. I stopped watching it long back. I cudnt bear it for 1min. loll!! So really, I wud say you can still watch old Ramanand Sagars mythological shows even though he has also done some cheda kani but still he has made it really nice but todays show, TAUBA TAUBA is my word!!! :P
