Since this is JMD forum, I will first post mantras related to Goddess Durga. In one message, I will post one mantra. Later, I will post mantras for Lord Ganesh, Lord Shiv, Lord Nagraaj.
The following is called Durga sapt shlokee and is chanting removes fears and gives protection.

asya shree durgaa sapta shlokee stotra mantrasya naaraayana rishih
anushtup chandah shree mahaakaalee mahaalakshmee mahaasarasvatyo devataah shree durgaa preetyartam saptashlokee durgaapaate viniyogah

Om jnaani naamapi chetaamsi devee bhagavatee hi saa
balaadaakrushya mohaaya mahaamaayaa prayachchati

durge smrutaa harasi bheethimasesha jantoh
svasthaih smrutaa matimateeva shubhaam dadaasi
daaridruya duhkha bhayahaariNi kaa tvadanyaa
sarvopakaara karaNaaya sadaa aardachittaa

sarvamangalamangalyae shive sarvaartha saadhike
sharaNyae tryambike gauri naaraayaNi namostute

sharanaagatha deenaartha paritraayana paraayane
sarvasyaartihare devee naaraayaNi namostuthe

sarvaswaroope sarveshe sarvashakti samanvite
bhayebhyastraahi no devee durgaa devee namostute

rogaanaseshaan apahamsi tushTaa
rushTaa tu kaamaan sakalaanabheeshtaan

sarvaabadhaaprasamanam trylokyasyakhileshvari
evamevatvayaa kaaryam asmadvairi vinaashanam

shankhachakra dhanurbaaNaam dhaarayantheem trilochanaam
doorvaadala nibhaam vande durgaam durgati naashineem

I will mail you today some time. I am creating a pdf file, which contains the mantra in Devnagri. I will send you both Roman and Devnagri versions. After that I will email you.

At a minimum you should chant it 3 times daily. Do it for 36 days.
You can chant more. But what I have written above is minimum.
This mantra is to be chanted if you fear something. For example, you want to be successful in something but you are not gaining confidence; you fear that you may fail. Or you have some other kind of fear. Then, chant this mantra. Important to remember that no mantra can take the place of hard work.

what if we do not pronounce the words correctly while chantig the mantras....

There are some mantras, which must be chanted after performing proper rituals and correct pronunciation. Otherwise, they effects are bad. However, there are some mantras, which can be chanted any time. Moreover, even if there are some mistakes in pronunciation, you do not get bad effects (provided pronunciation is not so wrong that the meaning itself becomes negative). In this thread, I will be posting mantras from the second category only unless somebody specifically asks for a mantra from the first category.

Before beginning any work, chant the following Ganesh mantra: -

vakratunda mahaakaaya suryakotee sama prabha
nirvighnam kuru me deva
sarva kaaryeshu sarvadaa

vakratunda = curved trunk
mahaakaaya = large bodied
surya kotee = crore suns
sama prabha = equal to the brilliance of
nirvighnam = free of obstacles
kuru = make
me = my
deva = Lord
sarva kaaryeshu = in all works
sarvada = always

"O Lord of curved trunk and large body and the one with the brilliance of a crore suns, please make all my work free of obstacles, always."

Chant this mantra before beginning any work and also when you find that you are facing obstacles in your work.
