A few days ago, the shoot of Jab Love Hua was stalled by one of the cast members. The 'character' in question was Rampyaari, the buffalo, who went on a rampage, defecating all over the sets, at Parekh House on Yari Road, during the shooting of a wedding scene there.
Actress Shalini Khanna who plays Gehna in the serial says, "The buffalo is an important character in the show and had a special role during the wedding scene. Rampyaari was supposed to enter with a dupatta on her back that read -- Raghu and Aanya (Sudip Sahir and Priya Badlani) love each other and hence they should get married. She was to be the messenger of love, something like Tuffy, the dog in Hum Aapke Hain Kaun."
But Rampyaari obviously had a different agenda. "She soiled the place and since it was raining, the dung really spread all over the sets. Although there were people cleaning the place, it got very messy. The set also started to stink," says Shalini.
It had been a long day and the unit had begun shooting early in the morning. To make matters worse, the crowds at the shoot disturbed the buffalo. Pratik Chavan, executive producer, says, "Rampyaari is very co-operative. She has never troubled us while shooting. That day, she got disturbed because of the crowds and light refractors. She kept dirtying the place and even passed urine on Priya Badlani's dress. But work being top priority, we got Priya cleaned up and continued with the shoot."
