Sanjeeda's tips to beat the heat
Lots of liquids: During summer season, one should drink lots of water so that the harmful toxins from the body will be washed away. Apart from water, have fresh fruit and vegetable juices like orange, mango, watermelon while amongst the vegetable juices have carrot which is very healthy and easily available in the markets.
Use a good sunscreen lotion: Before stepping out from home, please use a good amount of sunscreen lotion on the hands, neck and face which has a good amount of SPF. Use a good sunscreen lotion half an hour before stepping out from home.
Wear cotton clothes: During the summers, we must be comfortable while travelling, so one should wear cotton kurtas and dresses, so that you can beat the heat.
Avoid oil on hair: Everyone knows that oil is very essential for our hair and skin but one must not put oil on hair in summers so that the hair won't be sticky because of sweat. So you can put oil early in the morning and rinse off with water.
Avoid too much make-up: While travelling, use a simple sunscreen lotion and try not to use excessive makeup because it creates oil, so apply minimum make-up on the face to avoid pimples and other rashes.
Don't eat oily stuff: In summers, one must eat light weight food which is easily digested by our system, so avoid eatables and fried foods like bhujiya, vada-pav and instead of this, have baked stuff.
Have cold water bath: After coming from work, to get rid of all the heat and dirt, try to take time for having a cold water bath, which I do during the summer season as it will make your mind refresh from all the day's stress.
