Part 13
The next day after he managed to placate Ayesha, Veer was in high spirits. Part of the reason for this was the "make up" with Ayesha but the other part was also the very late meal they had both shared, of which all he could remember was Ayesha smiling at him and talking to him about various little things, having forgiven him about the saree incident. ๐๐Thinking of the saree, made Veer realise that he now had a new dilemna on his hands. How was he going to manage to give Ayesha the saree he had bought after his comments about Rahul and men who gave gifts for a reason to her?! ๐
V
(thinking to himself): Kya musibat create kardi. Abh mein kyan karun?Veer also remembered that Ayesha had been very busy planning a Valentine's Day Ball at Rahul's hotel. This was going to be the big event for their hotel. Knowing this, Veer had made sure that there was no conflicting function at Ramada, but had instead allowed a big private function to be organised for Valentine's at Ramada. He had done this so that he could attend the party at Rahul's hotel. Whilst he is still in thought, Ayesha comes downstairs. Veer is surprised to see her as they normally miss each other in the mornings due to her shifts and his various meetings and committments.
V
: Ayesha! Good morning- aaj tum abh tak nahin gayi?A
(having spotteed Veer and remembering the events of yesterday, is blushing despite herself): Haan, aaj mujhe der ho gayi aur aaj Nihal ke tests shuru ho rehe hain, isiliye maine Rahul Sir se kuch der se ane ki permission le li thi.๐ณV
:Oh Ok. To phir saath me nasta karein?A
: Mein abhi lagati hoon.Veer tries to stop her but she rushes off to the kitchen. Veer smiles to himself as he was just about to get someone to bring the food out so he could sit down with Ayesha, but of-course it was typical of Ayesha's nature that she rushed off to do the work herself. Ayesha soon comes out with a number of hot dishes and starts placing them on the table before Veer.
V
: Ayesha! Tum yeh sab kaise manage kerti haun? Tum kal itni der se sone gayi, aaj kitne baje uthna pada hoga tumhe yeh sab banane? Ghar mein cook aur aur sabhi bhi hain....Veer then notices that Ayesha has made his favourite breakfast dishes. He is touched as despite having many servants in the house, there is always little opportunity for anyone to particularly think of his specific likes and dislikes and to actually make the effort to make him something.๐ค
A
:Lekin mujhe apno ke liye yeh sab karna acha lagta hain. She suddenly realises what she has said and starts to stutter...๐ณ
A
: Ermm, woh, kya hain ke Nihal ke liye breakfast baanana mujhe acha lagta hain.V
: Hmm, really? Waise yeh sabh to meri favourite dishes hai breakfast ke liye. Kya yeh Nihgal ki bhi favourite hain ya phir mere liye khaas bani hain?๐Ayesha furiously blushes at this and at the teasing tone in Veer's voice, which is now becoming all too familiar. โบ๏ธ๐ณJust then, Nandini enters and sits down with them. The difference with D3 not being there has been extremely positive on Nandini, who has slipped into an easy friendship with Ayesha. She thanks Ayesha for making the breakfast and asks about the plans for the Valentine's Ball at the hotel.
Ayesha animatedly starts to explain how big the event is going to be and in the midst of the conversation, keeps mentioning various things Rahul is organising. This makes the familiar jealously rear up in Veer's mind and he starts to resent the easy way in which Ayesha speaks of, and praises, Rahul.๐ก However, when Nandini mentions going shopping that morning, this gives Veer a brainwave and he thinks he may have solved his problem about the saree! Whilst he is feeling pleased with himself over that, he notices that Ayesha has a tiffin-type box placed on the table.
V
: Ayesha, ees box mein kya hain?A
: Yeh me Rahul Sir ke liye lejarahi hoon. Unone bataya ke unko bhi apki tara, yeh dish bahut achi lagti hain aur apke liye aaj banayi, to socha ke thoda sa unke liye bhi le jav. This causes an instant flare of anger in Veer and at the same time he recorgnises that he is being petty, as Rahul is an extremely close friend and he knows that he does like that dish a lot too. Veer also misses the slip from Ayesha that she made the dish specially for him, as his growing jealousy keeps him from clear thoughts in Ayesha's case without fail.๐ก๐ก Nandini has been observing the play of emotions on Veer's face but is not entirely sure of the reasons. Ayesha soon leaves for work.
V
: Di, mujhe apse ek favour chahiye.N
: Haan Veer bolo, mere pyaare se chote bhai ko kya chahiye?Veer then explains to Nandini that he has bought a saree and he thinks that Ayesha should wear that for the Ball. At seeing Nandini's surprised expression, he covers this up by saying that he is aware that Ayesha will never ask for anything and as the party will be so lavish, he wanted to make sure that she had something nice to wear. He also explains that Ayesha will never take a gift like that from him so he suggests that Nandini give her the saree, saying that she was out shopping and bought it for herself, but seeing it at home made her realise it is not really her style. Veer tells Nandini to insisit to Ayesha that she take it and wear it for the ball, and for Nandini to tell Ayesha that she will feel offended otherwise. Veer also asks her to tell Ayesha that Nandini went shopping in the boutique in Ayesha's hotel, where she got the saree from and to pretend surprise when Ayesha mentions she saw the same saree. Nandini is thoughtful at this request, which is very unlike Veer but she keeps her views silent as she is aware that when it comes to Ayesha, Veer always tends to act out of character.
Having organised this important task, our hero takes himself off to work, still lost in thought over Ayesha and still feeling resentful that Rahul is to receive a food parcel from her!๐๐ก
