ARADHANA: The main lead is of course the favorite. She is a very very warm, compassionate and loving woman and of course very very beautiful both inside and outside. Her main drawback is that she is too nice! She tends to shield everyone else at the expense of taking blame on herself. She needs to be more assertive and put her foot down especially in front of her husband. I am glad she did have the courage to tell him not to talk harshly to the his niece and nephew. She has a right to be happy and unfortunately, Shailendra takes her for granted. I can't wait for the day when she rebels and dumps Shailendra for her own happiness.
SHAILENDRA: He is a selfish, self-absorbed, arrogant, liar #1, chauvanistic pig! He treats women like they are his servants whether it's his wife or his mistress. He is a two faced man who can lie on your face just to please you and get rid of you like he did to his mother in law. On the outside, anyone can get fooled by his charm and polish but he is a PIG! I hope Aradhana leaves him forever and never come back to him even if he pleads or begs for mercy.
JAWAHAR: He is a torn man on the inside. He has lived for years with the guilt of his affair with Shantanu's mom and betraying his wife's trust. This guilt and unhappiness has gnawed on him to the point that his health is extremely fragile at this point. Because of his guilt, he is scared to upset Nirmala and cannot accept Shantanu even though one can see how his face lights up each time Shantanu is around. I pity Jawahar. Even though he is the head of the family, he has no freedom to express himself. His restless soul weeps on the inside. I hope one day he will have the courage to defy everyone and accept Shantanu with open arms.
NIRMALA: She is eseentially the head of the family. She knows her sons very well - both their strengths and weaknesses. She wants to keep the family together and could do anything for their unity. She is Aradhana's main supporter in the family and appreciates all Aradhana does for the family. She even expressed a desire to have Shyamalee as a potential daughter in law because she loves the way Aradhana was brought up. Her main issue is her inability to forgive. She has not forgiven her husband for his infidelity and each time she sees Shantanu, she cannot forget that Shantanu is his illegitimate son. Unfortunately, she loves and cares for her husband and does everything for him but is emotionally detached from him. I hope one day she would learn to forgive- if not Jawahar but poor Shantanu who has only seen hatred in her eyes for him.
VRINDA: She is an insecure lady who does not hesitate to speak her mind. She wants recognition and appreciation from one and all. Her insecurity stems from her disability and also her husband's lack of interest in working in the family business. She is a frustrated woman and needs to be coddled a lot. I hope one day, she will learn to take the high road and not sweat the small stuff.
BHARAT: He is a sweetheart and the family clown so to speak. He loves everyone and wants peace and happiness all around him. His main drawback is his lack of motivation and desire to spend most of his time at home yapping and chatting with other women. Maybe he should become the cook at the house. That way Aradhana would get a break too because he really doesn't care for the company job.
AKSHAY: He loves his family and absolutely adores Aradhana bhabhi. He is a hard working guy and could do anything for them. He is even willing to sacrifice his honeymoon for his father's health. A lot of women might find that objectionable, but one needs to realise, that to win Akshay's heart, one has to win his family over first. Akshay will have a tough time balancing his wife and family. Good luck to him!
SANJANA: The new bahu. She is something! She is a woman with a mission. She can be manipulative and unlike Vrinda bhabhi, can play one family against another. I do agree with her on one part- she does deserve to go on a honeymoon with her husband especially when Akshay's dad is in stable condition. She is new in the house and her husband needs to be a little more caring and less argumentative with her. Although, on their first night, she seemed more interested in changing her hubby rather than enjoying the romantic moments with him. She is trouble IMO!
SHANTANU: AHHH...MY FAVORITE! He is a darling and an absolute gentleman. His character is the best so far. I loved his scene with Mrs Sareen today. He was direct, to the point and very clear about his feelings to her. He stated clearly that he loves being with the Sareens and feels that something about his past/family bothers Mrs Sareen more than him. I loved the way he said, "I will come back only after you invite me personally." He is a man of self respect, but very honest, loving, caring, self less and I can't wait for the day when he falls in love with Aradhana.
That's enough of my bak bak. Hope you guys can add your views to this...๐๐
